Կուբան ձեռք է բերել ավելի քան 300 ռազմական անօդաչու սարք և վերջերս սկսել է քննարկել դրանց կիրառման ծրագրերը՝ հարվածներ հասցնելու համար Գուանտանամոյի ծոցում գտնվող ամերիկյան բազային, ԱՄՆ ռազմական նավերին և, հնարավոր է, նաև Ֆլորիդա նահանգի Քի Ուեսթին, որը գտնվում է Հավանայից 90 մղոն հյուսիս։ Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է Axios-ը՝ իրեն տրամադրված գաղտնի հետախուզական տվյալների հղումով։

Հետախուզական տվյալները, որոնք կարող են ԱՄՆ-ի ռազմական գործողությունների առիթ դառնալ, ցույց են տալիս, թե ինչ աստիճանի է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի վարչակազմը Կուբան դիտարկում որպես սպառնալիք՝ անօդաչու թռչող սարքերի ոլորտում մշակումների և Հավանայում իրանցի ռազմական խորհրդատուների ներկայության պատճառով, հայտարարել է ամերիկացի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյան։

«Երբ մտածում ենք, որ այս տեխնոլոգիաներն այսքան մոտ են, և որ կա չարագործների մի ամբողջ շարք՝ ահաբեկչական խմբավորումներից մինչև նարկոկարտելներ, իրանցիներից մինչև ռուսներ, դա մտահոգություն է առաջացնում։ Սա աճող սպառնալիք է», - ասել է պարբերականի զրուցակիցը։

Հինգշաբթի օրը ԿՀՎ տնօրեն Ջոն Ռեթքլիֆը այցելել է Կուբա և տեղական պաշտոնյաներին ուղղակիորեն զգուշացրել ռազմական գործողություններին մասնակցելուց։ Նա նաև կոչ է արել նրանց հրաժարվել իրենց տոտալիտար կառավարությունից՝ վերջ դնելու ԱՄՆ-ի կործանարար պատժամիջոցներին, Axios գործակալությանը հայտնել է ԿՀՎ ներկայացուցիչը։

«Տնօրեն Ռեթքլիֆը հստակ հասկացրել է, որ Կուբան այլևս չի կարող ծառայել մեր հակառակորդների համար որպես հարթակ՝ մեր կիսագնդում թշնամական ծրագրեր առաջ մղելու համար։ Արևմտյան կիսագունդը չի կարող լինել մեր հակառակորդների խաղահրապարակը», - պատմել է ԶԼՄ-ի աղբյուրը։

Չորեքշաբթի ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարությունը նախատեսում է հրապարակել մեղադրական եզրակացություն Կուբայի փաստացի առաջնորդ Ռաուլ Կաստրոյի դեմ՝ այն բանի համար, որ նա, ենթադրաբար, 1996 թվականին հրամայել է խոցել Մայամիում տեղակայված «Եղբայրներ հանուն օգնության» մարդասիրական կազմակերպությանը պատկանող երկու ինքնաթիռ։

ԱՄՆ պաշտոնյաների պնդմամբ, Կուբան 2023 թվականից Ռուսաստանից և Իրանից ձեռք է բերում «տարբեր հզորության» հարվածային անօդաչու սարքեր և դրանք տեղակայում կղզու ռազմավարական կետերում։

Ամերիկացի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյայի վկայությամբ, վերջին մեկ ամսվա ընթացքում կուբացի պաշտոնյաները Ռուսաստանից ավելի շատ անօդաչու սարքեր և ռազմական տեխնիկա են խնդրել։ Պաշտոնյան վկայակոչել է որսած հետախուզական տվյալները, որոնք նաև մատնանշում են, որ կուբայական հետախուզության աշխատակիցները «փորձում են հասկանալ, թե ինչպես է Իրանը մեզ դիմադրում»։

Ռուսաստանն ու Չինաստանը Կուբայում ունեն բարձր տեխնոլոգիական լրտեսական կայաններ՝ «հետախուզական ազդանշաններ» (այսպես կոչված՝ SIGINT) հավաքելու համար։
