«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
Հայաստանում վերջին տարիներին, այսպես կոչված, արևմտամետ լինելը մի տեսակ մոդայիկ է դարձել, իսկ ավելի ստույգ՝ արևմտամետ: Իհարկե, նախկինում էլ կային այդպիսի քաղաքական միավորներ ու «եվրոգրանտային» ՀԿներ, սակայն 2018 թվականի իշխանափոխությունից հետո այդ միավորներն իրենց զգում են ինչպես «ձուկը ջրում», չնայած անցած ընտրությունները ցույց են տալիս, որ հանրային աջակցություն այդպես էլ չեն վայելում:
Այդուամենայնիվ, առաջիկա ընտրություններին մասնակցող 19 քաղաքական ուժերից առնվազն 7-ին կարելի է դասել ծայրահեղ «արևմտամետների» շարքին: Դրանցից մեկը Շնորհապետական կուսակցությունն է, որը, ինչպես նշված է Վիքիպեդիայի էջում, հանդես է գալիս երկրում ռուսական ազդեցության վերացման օգտին և աջակցում է Հայաստանի դուրս գալուն Ռուսաստանի գլխավորած բոլոր կազմակերպություններից, այդ թվում ՝ Հավաքական անվտանգության պայմանագրի կազմակերպությունից (ՀԱՊԿ) և Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությունից (ԵԱՏՄ): Ավելին, այդ կուսակցության ղեկավար Գուրգեն Սիմոնյանը կոչ էր արել դուրս բերել Հայաստանում տեղակայված բոլոր ռուսական զորքերը: Այսինքն, այս քաղաքական ուժը «ամուր կանգնած» է արևմտամետության գծի վրա: Արտաքուստ արտառոց բան չկա, դա էլ այդ կուսակցության մոտեցումն է, ինչպես նման այլ ուժերինը: Սակայն հետաքրքիր է, որ հակառուսական տրամադրություններ և «արևմտյան» քաղաքական կողմնորոշում ունեցող քաղաքական ուժի ղեկավարը աշխատել ու աշխատում է ռուսական բուհերում: Սիմոնյանի կենսագրության մեջ նշված է, որ նա 2016-2018 թթ. դասախոսել է Մոսկվայի Մ. Վ. Լոմոնոսովի անվան պետական համալսարանի երևանյան մասնաճյուղում, իսկ 2015 թ. ցայսօր՝ Հայ-Ռուսական (Սլավոնական) համալսարանի Միջազգային հարաբերությունների և հասարակաքաղաքական գիտությունների ինստիտուտում: Ճիշտ է, վերջերս լրատվամիջոցներից մեկի հարցմանն ի պատասխան ՀՌՀ-ից ասել էին, որ նա «համալսարանի հիմնական դասախոս չէ, ներգրավվել էր ժամանակավորապես՝ մեկանգամյա պայմանագրով, պայմանագիրը ավարտվել է, և հետագա ներգրավումը չի նախատեսվում», սակայն Սիմոնյանի կենսագրության մեջ շեշտվում է «2015 թ. ցայսօր» ձևակերպումը: Ի դեպ, անկարևոր չէ նշել, որ այդ համալսարանի ֆինանսավորման մոտավորապես 30 %-ը ձևավորվում է Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության դաշնային բյուջեից:
