Ատամնաբուժական միջամտությունների ժամանակ անզգայացումը համարվում է ամենահաճախ կիրառվող և, ընդհանուր առմամբ, անվտանգ պրոցեդուրաներից մեկը։ Սակայն մասնագետները նշում են՝ նույնիսկ այս պարզ թվացող փուլում կան մի շարք կարևոր նրբություններ, որոնց վրա հիվանդները հազվադեպ են ուշադրություն դարձնում։

Խոսքը ոչ թե «վտանգավոր» կամ հազվադեպ դեպքերի մասին է, այլ այն իրավիճակների, երբ անզգայացման գործընթացը կատարվում է առանց բավարար նախնական գնահատման կամ անհատական մոտեցման։

Ատամնաբույժների խոսքով՝ յուրաքանչյուր մարդու օրգանիզմը տարբեր կերպ է արձագանքում անզգայացնող նյութերին։ Ոմանց մոտ այն գործում է գրեթե անմիջապես, իսկ մյուսների դեպքում պահանջվում է դոզայի կամ մեթոդի ճշգրտում։ Այդ պատճառով կարևոր է, որ մինչև ներարկումը բժիշկը մանրամասն տեղեկանա հիվանդի առողջական վիճակի մասին՝ հատկապես ալերգիաների, սրտանոթային խնդիրների կամ նախկինում ունեցած բարդությունների վերաբերյալ։

Մասնագետները նաև ընդգծում են՝ հաճախ խնդիրները ոչ թե բուն ներարկումից են առաջանում, այլ այն հանգամանքից, երբ հիվանդը չի հայտնում կարևոր տեղեկություններ կամ անտեսվում է ցավի/անհարմարության մասին հաղորդումը միջամտության ընթացքում։ Ցանկացած ուժեղ ցավ կամ արտասովոր զգացողություն պետք է անմիջապես ասվի բժշկին, որպեսզի հնարավոր լինի արագ շտկել ընթացքը։

Մեկ այլ կարևոր հանգամանք է անզգայացման արագությունը և դեղաչափը։ Չափազանց արագ ներարկումը կամ ոչ ճիշտ ընտրված տեխնիկան կարող է առաջացնել գլխապտույտ, թմրածության տարածում ոչ ցանկալի հատվածներում կամ կարճատև սրտխփոց։ Թեև նման դեպքերը սովորաբար անցողիկ են, դրանք կարող են անհարմարություն պատճառել հիվանդին։

Բժիշկները խորհուրդ են տալիս նաև չվախենալ հարցեր տալուց մինչև միջամտությունը․ ինչ դեղամիջոց է օգտագործվում, ինչ զգացողություններ կարող են լինել, և որքան է տևելու անզգայացման ազդեցությունը։ Այս պարզ տեղեկությունները օգնում են նվազեցնել անհանգստությունը և դարձնում են գործընթացը ավելի վերահսկելի։

Ընդհանուր առմամբ, ատամնաբուժական անզգայացումը համարվում է անվտանգ պրոցեդուրա, սակայն ինչպես ցանկացած բժշկական միջամտություն, այն պահանջում է ուշադրություն, բաց հաղորդակցություն և անհատական մոտեցում։
