Ճապոնիայի բնակչությունը վերջին 5 տարվա ընթացքում կրճատվել է 3,09 միլիոն մարդով, ինչը բացարձակ ռեկորդ է համապատասխան վիճակագրության վարման ողջ պատմության ընթացքում։ Այս մասին են վկայում բնակչության մարդահամարի տվյալները, որոնք հրապարակել է Վարչական գործերի և հաղորդակցության նախարարությունը, հաղորդում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:

Այս տվյալների համաձայն՝ Ճապոնիայի բնակչությունը 2025 թվականի հոկտեմբերի 1-ի դրությամբ կազմել է 123,049,524 մարդ՝ 2020 թվականից ի վեր նվազելով 2,5%-ով, ինչը բացարձակ արտահայտությամբ ամենամեծ կրճատումն է Ճապոնիայում նման վիճակագրության վարման ողջ պատմության ընթացքում։

Ընդ որում, բնակչության թվաքանակի նվազում է արձանագրվում արդեն երրորդ մարդահամարն անընդմեջ՝ սկսած 2015 թվականից։ Որպես գլխավոր պատճառ նախարարությունը նշում է «բնական նվազումը»՝ հասարակության ծերացման և ծնելիության անկման ֆոնին մահացությունը կայուն կերպով գերազանցում է ծնելիությանը։

Բնակչության աճ է գրանցվել 47 պրեֆեկտուրաներից միայն երկուսում՝ Տոկիոյում (պլյուս 1,4%) և Օկինավայում (պլյուս 0,1%)։ Մնացած 45 պրեֆեկտուրաներում բնակչությունը կրճատվել է։ Ամենամեծ կորուստները կրել են Ակիտան (մինուս 8,1%) և Աոմորին (մինուս 7,9%)։

Ճապոնիայում վերջին տարիներին գերակշռում է ռեկորդային ցածր ծնելիությունը, որն ուղեկցվում է հասարակության ծերացման միտումով։ Ինչպես նշում են տեղացի փորձագետները, բնակչության արագ տեմպերով ծերացումը մոտ ապագայում կարող է բազմաթիվ խնդիրներ առաջացնել Ճապոնիայի համար։ Օրինակ՝ այժմ աշխատող ճապոնացիները ծերության հասակում կարող են զրկվել այն չափի վճարումներից, որոնք սահմանված են ներկայիս ճապոնացի կենսաթոշակառուների համար։ Ըստ կանխատեսումների՝ մինչև 2053 թվականը Ճապոնիայի բնակչությունը կկրճատվի հասնելով 100 միլիոնի, իսկ մինչև 2065 թվականը՝ 88 միլիոնի, որոնց 38%-ը կկազմեն 60 տարեկանից բարձր մարդիկ։
