Մեծ Բրիտանիայի ափերի մոտ գտնվող ծովում նկատվել է հազվադեպ մթնոլորտային երևույթ, որը որոշ մասնագետներ կապում են նաև «Տիտանիկի» ողբերգության հետ, հաղորդում է Past.am-ը հղում անելով՝ BBC News-ին։

Վերջերս զբոսանավի կապիտան Մայք Հենքոքը Քորնուոլի հյուսիսային ափերի մոտ ծով դուրս եկավ և հորիզոնում անսովոր տեսարան նկատեց։ Սկզբում նա այն շփոթեց մեծ նավի հետ, սակայն շարժվելիս օբյեկտի ուրվագիծը սկսեց տարօրինակ կերպով փոխվել։ Երկու հսկայական բլոկների նմանվող պատկերներից կարծես բարձր աշտարակներ էին դուրս գալիս, որոնք հետո մշուշվում, երկարանում և վերածվում էին հսկա արջի կերպարի։ Այնուհետև միրաժը հիշեցրել է մաթեմատիկական «π» (պի) նշանը, իսկ հետո միանգամից երևացել են երեք տարբեր հորիզոններ՝ կորացած և դողացող տեսքով։

Պարզվել է, որ Հենքոքը և նրա անձնակազմը ականատես են եղել ֆատա մորգանային՝ հազվադեպ մթնոլորտային երևույթի։

Ֆատա մորգանան, որն անվանվել է Արթուր արքայի խորթ քրոջ՝ Մորգանա լը Ֆեյի պատվին, ըստ լեգենդների, օդում կախված ամրոցներ ստեղծելու ունակ կախարդուհու, առաջանում է օդային շերտերում ջերմաստիճանի կտրուկ տարբերության հետևանքով։ Այդ պայմաններում սառը օդը կուտակվում է ստորին շերտերում, իսկ վերևում գտնվում է ավելի տաք օդ։ Ստեղծված «օպտիկական ոսպնյակը» լույսն այնքան ուժեղ է բեկում, որ հորիզոնում գտնվող առարկաները կարող են թվալ ձգված, բազմապատկված, գլխիվայր շրջված կամ ամբողջովին փոխված տեսքով։

Հենց այս երևույթով են հաճախ բացատրվում ուրվական նավերի և գոյություն չունեցող կղզիների մասին պատմությունները, որոնք երբեմն նույնիսկ հայտնվել են հին քարտեզների վրա։

Գոյություն ունի նաև տեսություն, ըստ որի՝ ֆատա մորգանան կարող էր որոշակի դեր ունենալ «Տիտանիկի» կործանման մեջ։ 1912 թվականի ապրիլի 15-ի գիշերը նավի բախված սառցաբեկորը, ենթադրաբար, գտնվել է այդպիսի մթնոլորտային շերտի ազդեցության գոտում։ Արդյունքում ձևավորվել է կեղծ հորիզոն, իսկ խորտակվող նավի արձակած ազդանշանային հրթիռների լույսը բեկվել է օդում։ Մոտակայքում գտնվող SS Californian շոգենավի անձնակազմը, ըստ այս վարկածի, դրանք սխալմամբ ընդունել է հրավառության համար, քանի որ լույսերը երևացել են իրականից ավելի ցածր։

Եթե այս տեսությունը համապատասխանում է իրականությանը, ապա հենց այդ պատճառով «Կալիֆոռնիայի» անձնակազմը, գտնվելով համեմատաբար մոտ տարածքում, ժամանակին չի արձագանքել օգնության ազդանշաններին և չի հասել խորտակվող RMS Titanic-ին։
