«Ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Հոսպիտալացված Գալուստ Սահակյանին Հովիկ Աբրահամյանի այցը ներկայիս ներքաղաքական զարգացումների համայնապատկերում բավական խորհրդանշական է: Իհարկե, որեւէ կասկած չկա, որ Աբրահամյանը Սահակյանին է այցելել բացառապես մարդկային, ընկերական, կուսակցական մղումներով, սակայն երկու «հին գվարդիականների» այս հանդիպումը բավական խորհրդանշական է Հայաստանում սկիզբ առած այն խոսակցությունների եւ գնահատականների ֆոնին, որ Սերժ Սարգսյանը իր փետրվարի 12-ի ելույթով, ըստ էության, ազդարարեց իշխանական համակարգում լայն սերնդափոխություն սկսելու մտադրության մասին:

ՀՀԿ-ականների կամ իշխանության «հին սերունդը», իհարկե, այս իմաստով ունի «առողջական» խնդիրներ, եւ ահա այս առումով է, որ հոսպիտալային այդ հանդիպումը դառնում է բավական խորհրդանշական: Եթե հին գվարդիան ունի քաղաքական եւ տնտեսական առողջական խնդիրներ, ապա դա թերեւս ողջունելի է պետության առողջության տեսանկյունից: Սակայն այստեղ առկա է երկու հանգամանք:

Նախ՝ արդյո՞ք իսկապես խոսք կա սերնդափոխության, «էլիտայի» փոփոխության մասին: Եվ երկրորդ՝ եթե անգամ այդ մասին կարող է խոսք լինել, եւ Սերժ Սարգսյանն իսկապես սկսել է նման գործընթաց, արդյո՞ք այդ գործընթացն ինքն առողջ է, այսինքն՝ արդյո՞ք եկող երիտասարդները լինելու են քաղաքական եւ տնտեսական առումով, աշխարհայացքի եւ արժեհամակարգի առումով ավելի առողջ, քան հին գվարդիան: Այս հարցերը չունեն միարժեք պատասխան:

Նախ ինքնին Հայաստանում «էլիտայի» փոփոխության մասին գնահատականների իրատեսականությունը ակնհայտ չէ: Վերջին հաշվով, «էլիտա» հասկացությունն ինքնին անշունչ չէ: «Էիտան» առարկա չէ, որ փոխարինես մյուսով, կամ որը վերցնես եւ մի տեղից դնես մեկ այլ տեղ: «Էլիտան» կենդանի օրգանիզմ է, որն ունի ֆունկցիոնալության իր կանոնները, եւ որը էապես տարբերվում է մոնարխիայի կանոններից: Հետեւաբար՝ այստեղ չեն կարող լինել միանձնյա որոշումներ, եւ Սերժ Սարգսյանը չի կարող իր ցանկությամբ «էլիտա» կամ «սերունդ» փոխել:

Ավելին՝ նոր սերնդի «էլիտիստները», որ հայտնվում են իշխանական այս կամ այն կետում, աչքի են ընկնում՝ նույնիսկ առավել հավակնոտությամբ ոչ թե պետական, այլ անձնական խնդիրները լուծելու հարցում: Երիտասարդությանը լավ իմաստով բնորոշ հանդգնությունը, համարձակությունը, անկաշկանդությունը նրանք վատ իմաստով օգտագործում են քծնելու եւ կարիերա անելու համար՝ տեղավորվելով համակարգային գործող կանոնների մեջ եւ նույնիսկ թաքնվելով հին գվարդիայի հետեւում, փորձելով խաղալ նրանց համեմատ գոնե ինտելեկտուալ առավելության վրա: Բայց այդ խաղը տապալվել է վաղուց:

Եվ այդ տեսանկյունից, Հայաստանի ներկայիս «էլիտայի» սերնդափոխությունը, ցավոք սրտի, իր որակական կողմով չունի որեւէ սկզբունքային տարբերություն եւ առավելություն:

Ամբողջ հարցն այն է, որ հին գվարդիայի կռիվը ոչ թե իր նոր սերնդի հետ է, այլ ինքն իր հետ՝ նոր սերնդի համար:

Բանն այն է, որ իշխանությունը կորցրել է միատարրությունը, հետեւաբար՝ հին գվարդիայի տարբեր խմբեր ունեն նոր տարբեր սերնդի, այսինքն՝ տարբեր «դեղամիջոցի» կարիք: Եվ այստեղ է, որ առաջանում է ներքին բախումը եւ քայքայումը»:
