ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի հատուկ պատվիրակ Ստաֆան դե Միստուրան անիրական Է համարում փետրվարի 25-ին Ժնեւում Սիրիայի կառավարության եւ ընդդիմության պատվիրակությունների միջեւ բանակցությունների վերսկսումը: Այդ մասին, ինչպես փետրվարի 19-ին հաղորդել Է SANA գործակալությունը, շվեդական ԶԼՄ-ներին հայտարարել Է դե Միստուրան ինքը:
«Ինձ տասն օր Է անհրաժեշտ դրանք նախապատրաստելու համար: Բացի այդ, բանակցությունները կարող են հաջողություն ունենալ, եթե շարունակվի արտակարգ հումանիտար օգնությունը եւ մեզ հաջողվի հասնել հրադադարի»,-ասել Է նա:
Դե Միստուրան փետրվարի 3-ին դադար Է հայտարարել Ժնեւում սկսված միջսիրիական անուղղակի բանակցություններում: Դրանց նոր փուլը պլանավորված Է փետրվարի 25-ին:
Մինչդեռ Դամասկոսում հիասթափություն են հայտնել ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի պատվիրակի Սիրիա այցի արդյունքներից: Սիրիայի նախագահի խորհրդական Բուսեյնա Շաաբանը իտալացի դիվանագետին խորհուրդ Է տվել «կենտրոնանալ իր անմիջական խնդիրների կատարման վրա, այլ ոչ թե խորանալ այն հարցերում, որոնք, օրինակ, կապված են Սիրիա հումանիտար օգնություն հասցնելու հետ»:
Նրա խոսքով՝ «Դամասկոսում դե Միստուրայից նախեւառաջ սպասում Էին Սիրիայում գործող ահաբեկչական խմբավորումների ցուցակը, սակայն նա այդպես Էլ այն չներկայացրեց», հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
