2026 թվականի մայիսին օդի միջին ջերմաստիճանը Հայաստանում կազմել է 9․0 °C, որը նորմայից ցածր է 1․0°C-ով։ Տեղումների ամսական քանակը Հայաստանի տարածքում կազմել է 70․4 մմ կամ նորմայի 88.5 %-ը։ Այս մասին հայտնում են Հիդրոօդերևութաբանության և մոնիթորինգի կենտրոնից։
 
Մայիս ամսվա ամենացածր ջերմաստիճանը դիտվել է ամսի 9-ին Գավառում՝ -3․2 °C, իսկ ամենաբարձր ջերմաստիճանը մայիսի 28-ին՝ Մեղրիում՝ 33․5 °C։
 
Մայիսի առաջին տասնօրյակին օդի ջերմաստիճանը մոտ էր նորմային, իսկ երկրորդ և երրորդ տասնօրյակներին օրական ջերմաստիճանները ցածր էին նորմայից միջինը 1 աստիճանով։
 
Մայիսը համարվում է ամենատեղումնառատ ամիսը Հայաստանում։
 
Ամսական տեղումների զգալի մասը դիտվել է մայիսի երկրորդ և երրորդ տասնօրյակներին։ Առանձին օրեր հանրապետության նախալեռնային և լեռնային շրջաններում դիտվեց կարկուտ՝ մայիսի 4-ին, 6-ին, 13-ին, 22-ին և 29-ին։ Ստեփանավանում մայիսի 4-ին գրանցված կարկտի տրամագիծը կազմել է 14 մմ։
 
Մայիսի 31-ի դրությամբ ձնածածկույթը պահպանվել է միայն բարձր լեռնային գոտում։ Համաձայն Արագած բարձր-լեռնային օդերևութաբանական կայանի դիտարկումների՝ ծովի մակարդակից 3229 մետր բարձրության վրա, մայիսի 31-ին ձյան շերտի բարձրությունը կազմել է 258 սմ։
 
1935 թվականից իրականացվող դիտարկումների տվյալների համաձայն ամենատաք մայիսը դիտվել է 2021 թվականին, երբ օդի միջին ամսական ջերմաստիճանը կազմել էր 12․5 °C, իսկ ամենացուրտը՝ 1956 թվականին, երբ օդի միջին ամսական ջերմաստիճանը կազմել էր 7․1 °C։
 
Ամենախոնավ մայիսը դիտվել է 1936 թվականին, երբ տեղումների քանակը կազմել էր 186․6 մմ, իսկ ամենաչորը դիտվել է 1989 թվականին, երբ տեղումների քանակը կազմել էր 39․5 մմ։
 
Կլիմայի փոփոխության գնահատականները ցույց են տալիս, որ մայիս ամսվա միջին ջերմաստիճանը Հայաստանում բարձրացել է 0․7 °C-ով 1935-2026 թթ․ ժամանակահատվածում, իսկ տեղումները նվազել են մոտ 27 %-ով։
