Արցախի մշակութային ժառանգության օմբուդսմենի գասենյակ, Արցախի «Պատմական միջավայրի պահպանության պետական ծառայություն» ՊՈԱԿ–ի հայտարարությունը՝ օկուպացված Արցախում ադրբեջանական վանդալիզմի փաստով.«Համաձայն արբանյակային լուսանկարների համեմատական վերլուծության՝ 2024 թվականի ապրիլի 19-ից մինչև 2025 թվականի հուլիսի 15-ն ընկած ժամանակահատվածում ադրբեջանական վարչակարգի կողմից ոչնչացվել է Այգեստան գյուղում տեղադրված՝ Արցախյան ազատամարտում զոհված ազատամարտիկների հիշատակը հավերժացնող խաչքարը, ինչպես նաև գյուղի՝ Հայրենական մեծ պատերազմում զոհված այգեստանցիների հիշատակը հավերժացնող հուշարձանը։ Արբանյակային պատկերները փաստում են, որ նախկինում պահպանված հուշակոթողները նշված ժամանակահատվածում ամբողջությամբ հեռացվել են, իսկ դրանց տեղանքում այլևս չեն նկատվում հիշատակի կառույցների գոյության հետքեր։

Այս հերթական վանդալիզմի ակտը վկայում է, որ ադրբեջանական իշխանությունների կողմից օկուպացված տարածքներում հայկական մշակութային և պատմական ժառանգության ոչնչացումը շարունակում է կրել համակարգված և նպատակաուղղված բնույթ։ Հատկանշական է, որ ոչնչացման թիրախ են դառնում ոչ միայն միջնադարյան եկեղեցիները, վանքերն ու խաչքարերը, այլև համեմատաբար նոր ժամանակաշրջանի հուշարձանները, որոնք նվիրված են տարբեր պատերազմներում զոհված հայերի հիշատակին։ Այս հանգամանքը հերքում է ադրբեջանական պաշտոնական շրջանակների այն պնդումները, թե նման գործողությունները պայմանավորված են բացառապես հուշարձանների «ոչ հայկական» կամ «վիճելի» ծագմամբ։ Իրականում ոչնչացվում են հայկական ինքնության, պատմական հիշողության և հավաքական հիշատակության բոլոր նյութական դրսևորումները՝ անկախ դրանց ստեղծման ժամանակաշրջանից կամ նշանակությունից։

Առանձնապես դատապարտելի է Հայրենական մեծ պատերազմում զոհվածների հիշատակին նվիրված հուշարձանի ոչնչացումը։ Այդ հուշարձանը նվիրված էր ֆաշիզմի դեմ պայքարում կյանքը զոհաբերած մարդկանց հիշատակին, որոնք կռվել էին մարդկության դեմ ուղղված ամենաավերիչ գաղափարախոսություններից մեկի դեմ։ Նման հուշակոթողների ոչնչացումը ոչ միայն հակասում է պատմական հիշողության պահպանման համամարդկային սկզբունքներին, այլև անարգում է Երկրորդ համաշխարհային պատերազմի զոհերի հիշատակը։ Այս առումով Ադրբեջանի գործողությունները դուրս են գալիս հայ-ադրբեջանական հակամարտության շրջանակներից և վերածվում են համաշխարհային հակաֆաշիստական ժառանգության նկատմամբ անհարգալից վերաբերմունքի դրսևորման։
