Մահացել է ՀՀ արվեստի վաստակավոր գործիչ, Մովսես Խորենացի մեդալակիր Ռիտա Շառոյանը, գրել է արձակագիր, բանաստեղծ Վրեժ Սարուխանյանը։
Սարուխանյանը նշել է. «Երկրային կյանքին հրաժեշտ տվեց բացառիկ մի անհատականություն՝ նվիրյալ մշակութաբան, վաստակած ու սիրված ժուռնալիստ, հրապարակախոս, Աշնակի արժանապատիվ դուստր Ռիտա Շառոյանը։
Նա աշխատել է Գառնիի դպրոցում, «Սովետական Հայաստան» թերթում, Ամերիկյան «Հորիզոն» հեռուստաընկերության հայաստանյան ներկայացուցիչ, Երևանի քաղաքապետարանի «Հայարտ» մշակութային կենտրոնի տնօրեն․․․
Ռիտայի իսկական կենսագրությունը միայն թվերն ու փաստերը չեն, այլ իր ժողովրդի ու սեփական տագնապներով ապրած և դեռ 70-ը չբոլորած, բայց Հայրենիքին նվիրումի անսահման անանձնական կյանքն ու ամենազոր ժամանակը։ Մեր ժողովրդի հոգևոր արժեքները ներկայացնելու ազգօգուտ գործունեություն ծավալեց։
Այսօր և միշտ Հայոց մշակույթի ոսկե ֆոնդում են Ռիտա Շառոյանի հեղինակային «Հնագույն նվագարաններ» ֆիլմաշարի տասնյակ գանձերը։ Իր խոստովանությամբ՝ «Նպատակ ունեմ այս ֆիլմերի միջոցով նոր ժամանակների մարդուն շարունակաբար ծանոթացնել մեր ազգային մշակույթի բյուրեղյա գանձերին»։
