Հորդանանում կախաղան էբարձրացվել վեց մարդ, որոնք դատապարտվել էին անվտանգության ծառայության աշխատակիցների սպանության համար․ այսպես ավարտվեց մահապատժի կիրառման ինը տարվա մորատորիումը, հայտնում է AFP-ն։
Կառավարության ներկայացուցիչ Մոհամմադ Մոմանին հայտարարել է, որ տղամարդիկ դատապարտվել էին «ահաբեկչության և քրեական գործերի» համար, որոնք հանգեցրել էին ոստիկանների և զինվորների մահվան ու վիրավորմանը։
Նրանցից երկուսը առնչություն են ունեցել 2018 թվականին Սոլթ քաղաքում հարուցված գործին, որտեղ հատուկ գործողության ընթացքում սպանվել էին անվտանգության ծառայության վեց աշխատակիցներ։ Մեկ ուրիշը դատապարտվել էր 2022 թվականին վառելիքի գների դեմ բողոքի ցույցերի ժամանակ բարձրաստիճան ոստիկանության սպայի սպանության համար։
Մյուսները դատապարտվել էին թմրանյութերի հետ կապված գործերով, որոնցում անվտանգության ծառայության աշխատակիցներ էին սպանվել 2014-ից 2018 թվականներին զինված բախումների ընթացքում։ Մոմանին նշել է, որ Հորդանանում ավելի քան 100 մարդ դեռևս գտնվում է մահապատժի դատապարտվածների խցերում, և որ մահապատիժները կիրականացվեն «մեկը մյուսի հետևից»։
Նա հավելել է, որ դատավճիռները կատարվել են արդարությունը վերականգնելու համար «նրանց հանդեպ, ովքեր զոհվել են՝ պաշտպանելով» երկիրը։ Հորդանանը հազվադեպ է կիրառում մահապատիժ, հիմնականում ահաբեկչության և ծանր բռնի հանցագործությունների հետ կապված դեպքերում, իսկ վերջին անգամ 15 մարդ կախաղան էր բարձրացվել 2017 թվականին։
