Բելգիայի Դաշնային խորհրդարանի պատգամավոր Էլեն Սամինը Բելգիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Մաքսիմ Պրևոյին ուղղված բանավոր հարցով անդրադարձել է «ՀայաՔվե» ազգային քաղաքացիական միավորման համակարգող Ավետիք Չալաբյանի կալանավորմանը և Հայաստանում ժողովրդավարության ու իրավունքի գերակայության վիճակին։

Պատգամավորը հիշեցրել է, որ Ավետիք Չալաբյանի նախորդ քրեական հետապնդումն արդեն իսկ միջազգային մտահոգությունների առիթ էր դարձել։ Նրա գործին անդրադարձել էին Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպանությունը, Եվրոպայի խորհրդի խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովը և Freedom House-ը՝ բարձրաձայնելով կամայական կալանքի, քաղաքական ազատությունների սահմանափակման և արդար դատաքննության երաշխիքների վերաբերյալ լուրջ հարցեր։

Էլեն Սամինը Բելգիայի կառավարությանն ուղղել է հետևյալ առանցքային հարցադրումները.
 
 Արդյո՞ք Բելգիան և եվրոպական կառույցները հետևում են Ավետիք Չալաբյանի գործին։

 Արդյո՞ք Հայաստանի հետ պաշտոնական շփումներում բարձրացվում են քաղաքական ազատությունների, ընդդիմության իրավունքների և դատական իշխանության անկախության հարցերը։

 Ինչպե՞ս է Եվրոպական միությունը համատեղում Հայաստանի հետ համագործակցության խորացումը ընդդիմության նկատմամբ իրականացվող ճնշումների վերաբերյալ միջազգային մտահոգությունների հետ։

 Կշարունակի՞ արդյոք Բելգիան ԵՄ շրջանակում պաշտպանել Հայաստանում հիմնարար ազատությունները, քաղաքական բազմակարծությունն ու անկախ դատական համակարգը։

Այս հարցադրումները ևս մեկ անգամ ցույց են տալիս, որ Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցող քաղաքական հետապնդումներն ու ժողովրդավարական ինստիտուտների վիճակը միջազգային ուշադրության կենտրոնում են։
