Ռյուտեն բարձր է գնահատել Թրամփի դերը ՆԱՏՕ-ում

ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Մարկ Ռյուտեն հայտարարել է, որ բարձր է գնահատում ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի գործունեությունն ու նրա ներդրումը դաշինքի զարգացման գործում։ Այդ մասին նա ասել է Politico-ին տված հարցազրույցում։
«Ինձ պարզապես դուր է գալիս այդ մարդը։ Կարծում եմ՝ այն, ինչ նա անում է ՆԱՏՕ-ի համար, շատ լավ նորություն է», — նշել է Ռյուտեն։
Նրա խոսքով՝ Թրամփը ճիշտ էր, երբ դաշինքի անդամ երկրներից պահանջում էր ավելացնել պաշտպանական ծախսերը, արդիականացնել զինված ուժերը, ինչպես նաև Իրանի դեմ ռազմական գործողությունների հարցում։
Politico-ն գրում է, որ Ռյուտեի հայտարարությունները փաստացի անվերապահ աջակցություն էին Թրամփի քաղաքականությանը, որը նախկինում քննադատության էր արժանացել ՆԱՏՕ-ի որոշ անդամների կողմից։ Ռյուտեն նաև ընդգծել է, որ Թրամփի երկրորդ նախագահության ընթացքում իրականացվում է այն, ինչին ԱՄՆ նախագահները ձգտել են դեռևս Դուայթ Էյզենհաուերի ժամանակներից՝ Եվրոպայի և ԱՄՆ-ի միջև պաշտպանության ոլորտի ֆինանսական բեռի առավել հավասար բաշխումը։
Ավելի վաղ Թրամփը հայտարարել էր, որ ԱՄՆ-ը ՆԱՏՕ-ի վրա ծախսում է ավելի շատ, քան մյուս անդամ երկրները, սակայն, իր գնահատմամբ, համարժեք օգուտ չի ստանում։
