Ֆրանսիայում Ռուսաստանի դեսպանը կանչվելու է արտաքին գործերի նախարարություն՝ բացատրություններ տալու վերջին օրերի կիբերհարձակումների վերաբերյալ, որոնցում ֆրանսիական կողմը ռուսական հետք է տեսնում։ Այս մասին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասել է Ֆրանսիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ժան-Նոել Բարոն։

Նրա խոսքով՝ Եվրոպայում ռուսական հատուկ ծառայությունների կողմից իրականացվում է թվային միջավայրում դիվերսիաների և լրտեսության լայնածավալ արշավ։

Ըստ Բարոյի՝ թիրախների թվում են եղել պետական գերատեսչություններ, ընկերություններ և ծառայություններ մատուցող օպերատորներ։ Նպատակը եղել է «կամ տեղեկատվության ձեռքբերումը, կամ գործողությունների խափանումը, օրինակ՝ երկաթուղային ենթակառուցվածքների դեպքում, ինչպես դա տեղի ունեցավ Լեհաստանում»։ Արտաքին գործերի նախարարի պնդմամբ՝ ընդհանուր առմամբ այս արշավը ազդեցություն է ունեցել եվրոպական մոտ տասը երկրների վրա, այդ թվում՝ Ֆրանսիայի, սակայն նա չի հստակեցրել, թե հանրապետությանը կոնկրետ ինչ վնաս է հասցվել։

BFMTV հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում, մասնավորապես, նախարարնա ասել է. «Այսօր մենք հայտարարում ենք, որ առաջիկա օրերին կկանչենք Ֆրանսիայում Ռուսաստանի դեսպանին, ինչպես նաև պատժամիջոցներ կսահմանենք ինը ֆիզիկական անձանց և չորս կազմակերպությունների նկատմամբ, որոնք պատասխանատու են այս կիբերշղթայի համար»:

Նա նաև նշել է, որ Ֆրանսիան կարողացել է հայտնաբերել այդ կիբերհարձակումները, քանի որ երկիրը «զգալիորեն ամրապնդել է իր պաշտպանությունը նմանատիպ կիբերհարձակումներից»։
