Սահմանային անվտանգության և մաքսային բոլոր գործառույթները մնում են Հայաստանի վերահսկողության ներքո, TRIPP երթուղում ԵԱՏՄ կարգավորումների մասին «Ազատության» հարցմանն ի պատասխան նշել են ԱՄՆ պետդեպարտամենտից: Այս մասին գրում է  Ազատությունը:

Օրերս Հայաստանի փոխարտգործնախարարը հայտարարել էր, որ Սյունիքի մարզով Ադրբեջանը Նախիջևանին կապող TRIPP-ը գործելու է ԵԱՏՄ տարանցման կանոնակարգերին համապատասխան: «Ազատությունը» պետդեպարտամենտից մասնավորապես հետաքրքրվել էր, թե արդյոք Միացյալ Նահանգները, որպես TRIPP-ի մասնակից, համաձայնե՞լ է, որ տարանցիկ երթուղին գործի ԵԱՏՄ կարգավորող շրջանակի ներքո և արդյոք TRIPP-ի շրջանակներում մաքսային տարանցման ընթացակարգերը կարգավորվելու են ԵԱՏՄ կանոնակարգերով, և եթե այո, ապա այս հարցի շուրջ Հայաստանի և Միացյալ Նահանգների միջև արդեն իսկ կա՞ փոխըմբռնում կամ համաձայնություն:

Պետդեպից շատ հակիրճ են պատասխանել «Ազատության» հարցերին՝ միայն նշելով. - «TRIPP-ը պահպանում է Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանությունը, տարածքային ամբողջականությունը և իրավազորությունը: Սահմանային անվտանգության և մաքսային բոլոր գործառույթները մնում են Հայաստանի վերահսկողության ներքո, Հայաստանի իշխանություններն են իրականացնում վերահսկողությունն ու կայացնում առանցքային որոշումները»:

Ավելի վաղ արտգործնախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանը չէր հերքել, որ ճանապարհով անցնող-դարձողների առերես սպասարկումը, այսինքն՝ շփումը, կարող է նաև երրորդ երկրի օպերատորի պատվիրակվել: Ստուգման համար փաստաթղթերը նրանք են հավաքելու, տարանցման վճարները՝ նույնպես:

«Ազատության» մյուս հարցը, թե արդյո՞ք Միացյալ Նահանգները նախատեսում է որևէ փոփոխություն գործող կարգավորող շրջանակում կամ տարանցման առանձին կանոնների ներդրում TRIPP-ի համար, պետդեպը անպատասխան է թողել: Իսկ արդյոք Վաշինգտոնը սա քննարկե՞լ է Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունների հետ հարցին ի պատասխան, Պետդեպի խոսնակը միայն հայտնել է, թե Վաշինգտոնը շարունակում է աշխատել Ադրբեջանի կառավարության հետ Ռազմավարական գործընկերության փաստաթղթում ամրագրված առաջնահերթ ուղղությունների շուրջ, ներառյալ՝ տարածաշրջանային փոխկապակցվածությունը, տնտեսական ներդրումները, էներգետիկան, անվտանգության ոլորտում համագործակցությունը և արհեստական բանականությունը:

Պաշտոնական Վաշինգտոնը նաև հրաժարվել է հայտնել, թե մինչ այս պահը որքան գումար է հատկացրել ամերիկյան կողմը TRIPP նախագծի համար, խոսնակն ասել է, թե «այս պահին հավելյալ մանրամասներ տրամադրել չեն կարող»:
