«Reuters» լրատվական գործակալության հաղորդմամբ՝ Թուրքիան որոշում է կայացրել որպես հիմնադիր անդամ միանալ Կանադայի առաջնորդությամբ ստեղծվող «Պաշտպանության, անվտանգության և դիմակայունության բանկին» (DSRB):
Ակնկալվում է, որ նշյալ կառույցը դաշնակից երկրներին կտրամադրի ցածր տոկոսադրույքներով ֆինանսավորում՝ ռազմարդյունաբերության ոլորտում ներդրումներ կատարելու համար: «Reuters»-ի աղբյուրի համաձայն՝ Անկարան արդեն պաշտոնապես տեղեկացրել է Օտտավային՝ որպես հիմնադիր անդամ նախագծին միանալու իր պատրաստակամության մասին:
Ծրագրվում է, որ «DSRB»-ն կունենա 10 հիմնադիր անդամ: Այն դաշնակից պետությունների ռազմական կարողությունների հզորացման նպատակով կհատկացնի շուրջ 100 մլրդ ֆունտ ստերլինգի (մոտ 133 մլրդ դոլար) ցածր տոկոսադրույքով վարկային միջոցներ:
Այս նախաձեռնությունը դիտարկվում է որպես Կանադայի վարչապետ Մարկ Քարնիի կողմից առաջ քաշված հայեցակարգի մի մաս, որն ուղղված է ԱՄՆ-ի շուրջ ձևավորված ավանդական համաշխարհային կարգի դեմ և միտված է «միջին ազդեցության ուժերի» ավելի սերտ համագործակցությանը:
Հատկանշական է, որ ավելի վաղ Անկարայում կայացած ՆԱՏՕ-ի գագաթնաժողովում այս հարցը բուռն քննարկումների առիթ էր դարձել և թեմայի վերաբերյալ տարբեր պնդումներ էին շրջանառվել, իսկ Կանադայի վարչապետն էլ հայտարարել էր, որ բանկը, որի գործարկումը նախատեսվում է 2027-ին, ունենալու է 9 հիմնադիր անդամ․ Կանադա, Ալբանիա, Բելգիա, Հունաստան, Լատվիա, Լյուքսեմբուրգ, Ռումինիա, Թուրքիա, Ուկրաինա:
Սակայն դրանից հետո էլ «Reuters» գործակալությունը, կրկին հղում անելով իր աղբյուրներին, հայտնել էր, թե Թուրքիան հրաժարվել էր մասնակցել նախագծին, իսկ հիմա հայտնում է հակառակը։ Ընդ որում, նշվում է 10 հիմնադիր անդամի մասին՝ նախկին 9-ի փոխարեն։
