Ֆրանսիայի ազգային հավաքականի գլխավոր մարզիչ Դիդիե Դեշամը մեկնաբանել է աշխարհի առաջնության կիսաեզրափակիչում Իսպանիայից կրած պարտությունը (0-2):

«Ֆուտբոլիստները հոգեպես ջախջախված են, բայց պետք է օբյեկտիվ լինել. մենք զիջեցինք տեխնիկական առումով։ Դա մեր պատասխանատվությունն է։ Ես մի հարց կտամ և չեմ պատասխանի դրան. արդյո՞ք այս մրցավարն ունի անհրաժեշտ մակարդակ աշխարհի առաջնության կիսաեզրափակիչում աշխատելու համար։

Շատ վիճելի դրվագներ կային, բայց պարտության գլխավոր պատճառն այն է, որ մենք ավելի վատն էինք: Մենք տեխնիկական սխալներ թույլ տվեցինք, կային փոխանցումներ, որոնք կարող էին վտանգավոր պահերի հանգեցնել։ Ֆուտբոլի բարձրագույն մակարդակում դա հատկապես ցավալի է։

Ինձ թվում էր, թե թիմը լավ է վերականգնվել խաղից առաջ… Ընդ որում, ես չեմ նսեմացնում Իսպանիայի հավաքականի արժանիքները. նրանք ամբողջությամբ վերահսկում էին խաղը և արժանիորեն հաղթեցին։ Այժմ մենք պետք է խաղանք երրորդ տեղի համար։ Չեմ ցանկանում խաչ քաշել այն ամենի վրա, ինչ արվել է մինչ այս, բայց հենց այս հանդիպումում Իսպանիան ավելին ցույց տվեց։

Հիմա ես իմ մասին չեմ մտածում։ Ես այս խաղին նախապատրաստվել եմ ֆուտբոլիստների հետ միասին, մեր նպատակն էր անել հնարավոր ամեն ինչ եզրափակիչ դուրս գալու համար։ Մեզ դա չհաջողվեց։ Մեր հիասթափությունը հսկայական է»,- Դեշամի խոսքերը մեջբերում է L’Équipe պարբերականը։
