Հունիսյան շոգը Եվրոպայում հանգեցրել է գրեթե 9 միլիոն տոննա հացահատիկի կորստի, որի արժեքը գերազանցում է 2 միլիարդ եվրոն, հայտնել է «Financial Times»-ի՝ հղում անելով գյուղատնտեսական շուկայի մասնակիցներին ներկայացնող Coceral եվրոպական ասոցիացիայի և կլիմայի փոփոխության հարցերով զբաղվող ECIU վերլուծական կենտրոնի տվյալներին:
Թերթը գրել է, որ ԵՄ-ում և Մեծ Բրիտանիայում հացահատիկի բերքի ընդհանուր կանխատեսումները «զգալիորեն նվազել են»:
Ֆրանսիայում, որին բաժին է ընկել ընդհանուր կորուստների գրեթե կեսը, բերքի կանխատեսումը կրճատվել է 4.1 միլիոն տոննայով (գնահատվում է 891 միլիոն եվրո): Հունգարիայում, որը երկրորդ ամենաշատ տուժած երկիրն է, կորուստները կազմել են 2.4 միլիոն տոննա:
Ֆրանսիացի ֆերմերների կարծիքով՝ որոշ մշակաբույսերի, օրինակ՝ սոյայի, բերքի կորուստները կհասնեն 50-70%-ի: «Մենք աղետի չենք գնում, մենք արդեն այնտեղ ենք», - ասաց Բենուա Մերլոն, որը Ֆրանսիայի արևելքում օրգանական հացահատիկի ֆերմայի սեփականատեր է։
Մասնագետները նշում են, որ եգիպտացորենի բերքի կրճատումը, որը կենդանիների հիմնական կեր է, կհանգեցնի Բրազիլիայի և Ուկրաինայի նման երկրներից ներմուծման աճի։ Վերլուծաբանները կարծում են, որ ֆրանսիական ցորենի պակասը կհանգեցնի Աֆրիկա մատակարարումների կրճատման։
