Վաշինգտոնի դաշնակիցները մտահոգված են՝ արդյոք ԱՄՆ-ը կկարողանա պաշտպանել իրենց անհրաժեշտության դեպքում։ Այս մասին գրում է The Wall Street Journal թերթը։
Ինչպես նշվում է, ամերիկյան դաշնակիցները «անհանգստանում են Վաշինգտոնի մտադրությունների համար» դեռևս Դոնալդ Թրամփի՝ պետության ղեկավարի պաշտոնին վերադառնալու պահից։ Հիմա էլ, երբ Իրանի դեմ ռազմական գործողությունը սպառել է ամերիկյան զինանոցները և «մերկացրել ԱՄՆ-ի կոշտ ուժի սահմանափակ լինելը», Վաշինգտոնի դաշնակիցները մտահոգվում են նաև իրենց պաշտպանելու նրա կարողության համար։
Այլ երկրների պաշտոնյաները նկատում են «արդյունաբերական անկում, ռազմավարական անհետևողականություն և քաղաքական դիսֆունկցիա» ԱՄՆ-ում և հարց տալիս՝ արդյոք դա թուլացրել է երկիրն այն աստիճանի, որ նա ունակ չի լինի վճռորոշ դեր խաղալ Եվրոպայում, Մերձավոր Արևելքում և Ասիայում հակամարտության՝ մի քանի ճակատներով տարածման դեպքում։ Այս կասկածները կիսում են շատերը նաև բուն Վաշինգտոնում, ընդգծում է The Wall Street Journal-ը։
