Հնդկաստանի հյուսիսի Խարյանայի նահանգում առնվազն 19 մարդ Է զոհվել ջաթերի կաստայի անդամների մասնակցությամբ տեղի ունեցած անկարգությունների հետեւանքով: Այդ մասին, փետրվարի 22-ին հաղորդել են արեւմտյան ԶԼՄ-ները: Եվս ավելի քան 200 մարդ վերքեր են ստացել:
Ավելի վաղ ջաթերը Հնդկաստանի իշխանություններից պահանջել են իրենց համար քվոտաներ հատկացնել իշխանության մարմինների պաշտոնների եւ համալսարանների տեղերի համար: Նախօրյակին Հնդկաստանի կառավարությունն ընդառաջել Է բողոքավորների պահանջներին:
Ավելի վաղ բողոքավորները փակել Էին երկրի մայրաքաղաք Դելիին ջուր մատակարարող խողովակաշարը, ինչի հետեւանքով փակվել Էին քաղաքի դպրոցները եւ ջրօգտագործման նորմաներ Էին սահմանել: Սական ավելի ուշ հնդիկ զինվորականներն իրենց հսկողության տակ Էին վերցրել ջրատարը:
Բացի այդ, խախտվել Էր տրանսպորտային հաղորդակցությունը Խարյանայի եւ մյուս նահանգների միջեւ, չեղյալ Էին հայտարարվել հազարից ավելի երկաթուղային չվերթեր:
Փետրվարի 21-ին անկարգությունների գոտի Էին ուղարկվել 1,2 հազար զինծառայողներ:
ԶԼՄ-ների տվյալներով՝ Խարյանայի նահանգի իշխանությունները հույս ունեն փետրվարի 22-ին ամբողջովին իրենց հսկողության տակ վերցնել իրադրությունը, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
