Կալիֆոռնիայում կառուցվում է Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակին նվիրված նոր հուշահամալիր

2028 թվականի առաջին եռամսյակում Կալիֆոռնիայի Իրվայն քաղաքում նախատեսվում է Օրինջ շրջանի առաջին հանրային հուշահամալիրի հանդիսավոր բացումը՝ նվիրված Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակին։ Այդ մասին հայտնում է «Alphanews.am»-ը։

Հուշահամալիրը կառուցվում է ԱՄՆ-ի հայ համայնքի նախաձեռնությամբ։

Տեղական համայնքի նախաձեռնած լայնածավալ նախագիծը կդառնա «Irvine Great Park»-ի կենտրոնական հատվածի՝ «Heart of the Park»-ի անբաժանելի մասը։ Այգին համարվում է տարածաշրջանի խոշորագույն հանրային զբոսայգիներից մեկը։

Հուշահամալիրի առանցքային հատվածը կլինի մոտ 3.35 մետր բարձրությամբ բրոնզե քանդակը, որը պատկերում է երեխային գրկած հայ մոր։ Կերպարը խորհրդանշում է ոչ միայն անցյալի ողբերգությունը, այլև հայ ժողովրդի բացառիկ տոկունությունը, սերունդների շարունակականությունը։

Բրոնզե քանդակի շուրջ կլինեն նաև թռչող կռունկներ։ Հայկական մշակույթում այս թռչունը խորհրդանշում է կորցրած հայրենիքի կարոտը, հավերժ հիշողությունն ու խաղաղության ձգտումը։ Քանդակը կամբողջացնի անմոռուկի ծաղիկը՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակի միջազգային ճանաչված խորհրդանիշը, որն 2015 թվականին՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին, հաստատվել է որպես ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակի միջազգային խորհրդանիշ։

Հուշարձանը կտեղադրվի չորս ֆուտ բարձրությամբ պատվանդանի վրա, որի վրա կփորագրվի «Armenian Genocide April 24, 1915» գրությունը։
