Իրանի տնտեսական շրջափակումը ԱՄՆ-ի համար ավելի թանկ է արժենում, քան հենց Թեհրանի համար, իսկ իրանցիները մտադիր չեն տրվել ճնշմանն ու պատժամիջոցներին, կիրակի հայտարարել է Իսլամական հեղափոխության պահապանների կորպուսի (ԻՀՊԿ) պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ, բրիգադի գեներալ Հոսեյն Մոհեբին։

«Եթե իրավիճակը դիտարկենք տնտեսական տեսանկյունից, ապա այն վնասը, որ այս պայմանները հասցնում են Ամերիկային, կարող է մի քանի անգամ գերազանցել Իրանին հասցվող վնասը։ Եթե Ամերիկան ցանկանում է Իրանին մեկ դոլարի տնտեսական վնաս հասցնել, ապա ինքն էլ կարող է բախվել մի քանի դոլարի ծախսերի և վնասների», — ասել է Մոհեբին Mehr լրատվական գործակալությանը տված հարցազրույցում։

Ըստ նրա, Վաշինգտոնը հույս ուներ ռազմական հզորության և ռազմածովային նավատորմի միջոցով Իրանին ծնկի բերել, սակայն վերջին իրադարձությունները ցույց տվեցին նման հաշվարկի անհիմն լինելը։ Մոհեբին հայտարարել է, որ ամերիկյան ավիակիրների և այլ ռազմական ուժերի ներկայությունը Իրանին չի ստիպել նահանջել։

«Ամերիկայի հզորության զգալի մասը հիմնված է նրա ռազմական հնարավորությունների ցուցադրման վրա։ Նրանք կարծում էին, թե միայն ռազմածովային նավատորմի և ավիակիրների ներկայությունը բավական կլինի, որպեսզի ստիպեն Իրանին նահանջել, սակայն առաջ կատարված յուրաքանչյուր քայլի դիմաց նրանք ստիպված էին մի քանի քայլ հետ գնալ», — հայտարարել է ԻՀՊԿ ներկայացուցիչը։

Մոհեբին նաև կասկածի տակ է դրել ԱՄՆ-ի կարողությունը՝ Իրանի դեմ տնտեսական պատերազմ վարելու հարցում՝ մատնանշելով ամերիկյան պետական պարտքի բարձր մակարդակը, ինչպես նաև Վաշինգտոնի շարունակվող տնտեսական դիմակայությունը Չինաստանի և այլ երկրների հետ։

Նա նշել է, որ տարածաշրջանային լարվածությունն արդեն ազդում է հումքի և էներգակիրների շուկաների վրա, ճնշում է գործադրում ԱՄՆ-ի ռազմավարական պաշարների վրա և բարդացնում երկրի ապահովումը որոշ անհրաժեշտ ռեսուրսներով։

ԻՀՊԿ ներկայացուցիչը նաև հայտարարել է, որ տարածաշրջանային իրադարձությունների պատճառով տուժել են ալյումինի արտադրությունն ու արտահանումը, քանի որ տարածաշրջանի երկրներում արտադրական հզորությունների մի մասը դուրս է բերվել շահագործումից։

«Այս իրադարձությունների ամբողջությունը ցույց է տալիս, որ տնտեսական ճնշումն ու շրջափակման ստեղծումը պարտադիր չէ, որ նշանակեն հաղթանակ այն կողմի համար, որը պատժամիջոցներ է սահմանում, և նույնիսկ կարող են նրա համար վերածվել լուրջ ծախսերի», — ասել է Մոհեբին։
