ԱՄՆ զինվորականները վատնել են մինչև 70 Patriot կալանավորող հրթիռ և մեկ տասնյակից ավելի Thaad կալանավորող հրթիռներ, ընդհանուր առմամբ՝ շուրջ 80 միավոր, անցյալ շաբաթ Հորդանանում ԱՄՆ օբյեկտների ուղղությամբ Իրանի պատասխան հարվածներից մեկը հետ մղելու համար, որն ի վերջո չի հաջողվել ամբողջությամբ հետ մղել, հայտնում է Wall Street Journal թերթը՝ հղում անելով իրավիճակին ծանոթ աղբյուրներին, հաղորդում է ՌԻԱ Նովոստի-ն:
«ԱՄՆ զորքերը արձակել են 60-ից 70 Patriot կալանավորող հրթիռ՝ հարձակումը հետ մղելու համար: ԱՄՆ-ը նաև արձակել է մեկ տասնյակից ավելի Thaad կալանավորող հրթիռներ: ՀՕՊ համակարգերը չեն կարողացել կանխել բոլոր հարվածները»,- ասվում է հաղորդագրության մեջ։
Ինչպես նշել է հրատարակության զրուցակիցներից մեկը, նման ծախսը համեմատելի է այն բանի հետ, ինչ ԱՄՆ-ը ծախսել էր ռազմական հակամարտության այլ ժամանակահատվածներում ամբողջ շաբաթվա ընթացքում:
Ինչպես պնդում է Wall Street Journal-ը, իրանցի զինվորականները հարմարեցրել են իրենց հարձակումները և սկսել են կիրառել մարտագլխիկներ, որոնք թիրախին մոտենալիս բաժանվում են բազմաթիվ ավելի փոքր արկերի, ինչը դժվարացնում է դրանց որսումը: Արդյունքում, չնայած զինծառայողների շրջանում զոհերի բացակայությանը, իրանական հրթիռներին հաջողվել է խոցել ԱՄՆ-ի կործանիչները Հորդանանի Մուվաֆֆաք Սալթի բազայում:
Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հերքել էր ԶԼՄ-ների պնդումներն այն մասին, որ Հորդանանում ԱՄՆ ռազմաբազայում վնասվել են ամերիկյան կործանիչներ իրանական պատասխան հարվածների հետևանքով:
Հուլիսի վերջին Ռազմավարական և միջազգային հետազոտությունների կենտրոնը (CSIS) հաշվարկել էր, որ ԱՄՆ-ը Իրանի հետ առճակատման ընթացքում ծախսել է ավելի քան 1,5 հազար Patriot հրթիռ և 200 Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) կալանավորող հրթիռ՝ բախվելով զգալի դեֆիցիտի։
