ԱՄՆ-ն 3 տարվա ընթացքում առաջին անգամ բարձրացրել է տոկոսադրույքները՝ գնաճը զսպելու համար

ԱՄՆ Դաշնային պահուստային համակարգը (ԴՊՀ) միաձայն որոշել է 2023 թվականից ի վեր առաջին անգամ բարձրացնել ԱՄՆ տոկոսադրույքը 0.25%-ով՝ մինչև 3.75%-4%: Հնարավոր են հետագա բարձրացումներ՝ գնաճը զսպելու համար․ հայտնում է BBC-ն։
ԴՊՀ նախագահ Քևին Ուորշն այս քայլը բացատրել է՝ նշելով, որ «գնաճը չափազանց բարձր է և այդ մակարդակին է չափազանց երկար ժամանակ», որոշումն անվանելով «խոհեմ» և «պատասխանատու»։ Այնուամենայնիվ, ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել է, որ տոկոսադրույքները «պետք է լինեն 1% կամ պակաս, քանի որ մենք ունենք աշխարհի ամենավստահելի վարկային վարկանիշը՝ մեծ տարբերությամբ»։
Ուորշը նշել է, որ չնայած ԴՊՀ ղեկավարությունը լավատեսորեն է տրամադրված ապագայի նկատմամբ, գնաճը շարունակում է մտահոգիչ լինել։ Կենտրոնական բանկերը սովորաբար բարձրացնում են տոկոսադրույքները բարձր գնաճային միջավայրերում՝ սպառողական ծախսերը զսպելու և խնայողությունները խթանելու համար՝ հույս ունենալով դանդաղեցնել գների աճը։ Շատ այլ կենտրոնական բանկերի նման, Դաշնային պահուստային համակարգը նպատակ ունի պահպանել գնաճը 2% կամ դրանից ցածր մակարդակում։ Ուորշը նշել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ում գնաճն այս նպատակային մակարդակից բարձր է եղել «ավելի քան 5 տարի»։
Նոյեմբերի միջանկյալ ընտրություններից առաջ ապրանքների և ծառայությունների մատչելիությունը դարձել է ամերիկացի ընտրողների համար հիմնական խնդիր. դիզելային վառելիքի գները հասել են պատմական առավելագույնի, մինչդեռ բենզինի գները միջինը գերազանցել են 4 դոլարը մեկ գալոնի համար։
Իրանի հետ ԱՄՆ-Իսրայել հակամարտության սկսվելուց ի վեր նավթի համաշխարհային գները կտրուկ աճել են, ինչը հանգեցրել է շարժիչային վառելիքի, ինչպես նաև ապրանքների և ծառայությունների ընդհանուր գների բարձրացմանը։ Ուորշը նշել է, որ Դաշնային պահուստային համակարգը «չի կարող ազդել որևէ կոնկրետ ապրանքի գնի վրա՝ լինի դա նավթ, թե մթերք, բայց կարող է կանխել գների աճի տարածումն ամբողջ տնտեսության վրա»։
Նրա խոսքով՝ գնաճի ցածր մակարդակն ամենաշատն օգուտ կբերի բնակչության ամենաաղքատ շերտերին։
