ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հրաժարվել է յոթ օրով հրադադար հաստատելու Իրանի առաջարկից և մերձավորներին հայտարարել է ամերիկյան Կոնգրեսի նոյեմբերյան ընտրություններից հետո Իրանին հարվածները վերսկսելու հնարավորության մասին: Այս մասին հայտնել է The Wall Street Journal թերթը, հաղորդում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։

Վաշինգտոնի վարչակազմում նրա աղբյուրի տեղեկություններով՝ Թրամփը մերժել է յոթօրյա հրադադարի վերաբերյալ Իրանի առաջարկը և օգնականներին հայտնել է, որ ակնկալում է Իրանի ռմբակոծությունների վերսկսումը նոյեմբերին կայանալիք միջանկյալ ընտրություններից հետո:

Ինչպես հստակեցվում է հրապարակման մեջ, Թրամփը սկեպտիցիզմ է հայտնում առ այն, որ Իրանը կկատարի իր պահանջները, և օգնականներին ասել է, որ հավանական է համարում ռմբակոծությունների վերսկսումը:

Նյութում հստակեցվում է, որ Թրամփը դեռ չի որոշել, թե որն է լինելու հնարավոր հարվածների մասշտաբը: Պարբերականի տեղեկություններով՝ ամերիկացի առաջնորդը չի ցանկանում վերսկսել լայնամասշտաբ ռազմական գործողությունների անցկացումը, մասնավորապես՝ ԱՄՆ-ում ռազմամթերքի պաշարների սպառման պատճառով:

Հիշեցնենք, որ ավելի վաղ Իրանի ԱԳՆ ղեկավար Աբբաս Արաղչին հայտարարել էր, որ Թեհրանը Կատարի միջոցով ԱՄՆ-ին է փոխանցել Հորմուզի նեղուցով նավագնացության վերականգնման յոթօրյա ծրագիր:

Թրամփն այս ամսվա սկզբին վստահություն էր հայտնել, որ Իրանի հետ պատերազմը կավարտվի Կոնգրեսի նոյեմբերյան ընտրություններից անմիջապես հետո, իսկ հնարավոր է՝ նաև դրանցից առաջ: Կոնգրեսի միջանկյալ ընտրությունները տեղի կունենան նոյեմբերի 3-ին, դրանց ընթացքում վերընտրվելու են Կոնգրեսի Սենատի 100 անդամներից 33-ը և Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի բոլոր 435 անդամները:
