 Թուրքիայի և Բուլղարիայի միջև դիվանագիտական հարաբերություններում շարունակվում է ճգնաժամը: Այն բանից հետո, ինչ բուլղարական մամուլում հայտնի դարձավ, որ երկրի ներքին գործերին խառնվելու հիմնավորմամբ Բուրգասում Թուրքիայի գլխավոր հյուպատոսության կցորդ Ուղուր Էմիրօղլուն հայտարարվել է «ոչ ցանկալի անձ», պաշտո նական Անկարան հանդես է եկել պատասխան քայլով:

Վկայակոչելով թուրքական «Միլլիեթ» պարբերականը, բուլղարական մամուլը գրում է, որ Թուրքիան Ստամբուլում Բուլղարիայի գլխավոր հյուպատոս Անգել Անգելովին «ոչ ցանկալի անձ» է հայտարարել: Թեպետ այս առնչությամբ պաշտոնական հայտարարություն չի արվել, սակայն բուլղարական BG գործակալության հաջողվել է իր աղբյուրներով ճշտել լուրի հավաստիությունը:

Բուլղարիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունն ավելի վաղ հանդես էր եկել հայտարարությամբ՝ ասելով, որ Էմիրօղլուն դիվանագիտական պարտականություններին ոչ հարիր գործունեություն է ծավալում, և երկիրը լքելու համար նրան տրված է 72 ժամ: Բուլղարական մամուլը գրել էր, որ Էմիրօղլուն դիվանագիտական անձնագիր ունեցող իմամ է և շատ հաճախ որպես թուրքական համայնքի ներկայացուցիչ հանդիպումներ ու քննարկումներ է ունենում կրոնավոր անձանց հետ: Բացի այդ, թուրք դիվանագետը ճնշում է գործադրել թուրքական համայնքի քաղաքական կուսակցության վրա, ինչը Բուլղարիայի ներքին քաղաքական գործընթացներին կոպիտ միջամտություն է համարվում:
