Միջազգային հետազոտողների խումբը «Հիվանդությունների գլոբալ բեռ» նախագծի շրջանակում վերլուծել է 204 երկրների 1990-2023 թվականների տվյալները և արձանագրել, որ ճանապարհատրանսպորտային պատահարները շարունակում են մնալ 10-39 տարեկան տղամարդկանց մահվան հիմնական պատճառը։
Հետազոտության համաձայն՝ ռիսկի առավել բարձր ցուցանիշը գրանցվում է 20-24 տարեկան տղամարդկանց շրջանում։ Այս տարիքային խմբում ՃՏՊ-ները կազմում են բոլոր մահերի շուրջ 20.7 տոկոսը՝ տարեկան մոտ 98 հազար դեպք։
Past.am-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ միայն 2023 թվականին ամբողջ աշխարհում ճանապարհատրանսպորտային պատահարների հետևանքով մահացել է մոտ 1.34 միլիոն մարդ, իսկ ավելի քան 50 միլիոնը ստացել է տարբեր աստիճանի վնասվածքներ։
Միևնույն ժամանակ, վերջին 33 տարիների ընթացքում ՃՏՊ-ներից մահացության մակարդակը նվազել է 32.3 տոկոսով, իսկ վնասվածքների մակարդակը՝ 38.3 տոկոսով։ Սակայն տարբեր երկրներում պատկերը նույնը չէ. որոշ պետություններում մահացության ցուցանիշները վերջին տարիներին աճել են։
Հետազոտության հեղինակներից մեկը՝ Վասիլի Վլասովը, նշել է, որ ճանապարհային անվտանգության վրա էական ազդեցություն ունի վարորդների վարքագիծը։ Նրա խոսքով՝ կարևոր նշանակություն ունեն նաև ճանապարհների վիճակը, մեքենաների անվտանգության մակարդակը և վթարից հետո տուժածներին բժշկական օգնություն ցուցաբերելու արագությունը։
Past.am-ի տեղեկություններով՝ ուսումնասիրությունը նաև անդրադառնում է «Vision Zero» և «Safe System» մոտեցումներին, որոնց նպատակն է ճանապարհային համակարգն այնպես կազմակերպել, որ նույնիսկ մարդկային սխալի դեպքում հնարավորինս կանխվի մահը կամ ծանր վնասվածքը։
Հետազոտողները շեշտում են, որ ճանապարհատրանսպորտային պատահարներից մահացության նվազեցման համար անհրաժեշտ է համալիր մոտեցում՝ ճանապարհների անվտանգության բարձրացում, տրանսպորտային միջոցների կատարելագործում, երթևեկության կանոնների պահպանում և շտապ բժշկական օգնության հասանելիության արագացում։
