Ֆիզիոլոգիայի և բժշկության ոլորտում 2026 թվականի Նոբելյան մրցանակին են արժանացել գիտնականներ Կարլ Դեյսերոտը, Պետեր Հեգեմանը և Գեորգ Նագելը՝ լույսով կառավարվող իոնային անցուղիներին և օպտոգենետիկային վերաբերող հայտնագործությունների համար։ Դափնեկիրների անունները հայտարարվել են Ստոկհոլմում։

«Պետեր Հեգեմանը և Գեորգ Նագելը միաբջիջ ջրիմուռում հայտնաբերել են զարմանահրաշ սպիտակուց՝ անցուղային ռոդոպսին։ Կարլ Դայսերոտն այս սպիտակուցը վերածել է նյարդային բջիջների համար լույսով կառավարվող անջատիչի: Դափնեկիրները հիմք են դրել նյարդագիտության նոր դարաշրջանի», - ասվում է Կարոլինյան ինստիտուտի Նոբելյան ասամբլեայի հաղորդագրության մեջ։ Օպտոգենետիկան մեթոդ է, որը թույլ է տալիս ցույց տալ, թե ինչպես են նյարդային բջիջները ձևավորում հիշողություններ, զգացմունքներ և վարքագիծ կենդանի ուղեղում, հավելել են ինստիտուտում։
