«Ուժեղ Հայաստան» խմբակցության անդամները Կանադայի դեսպանի հետ հանդիպմանը քննարկել են TRIPP նախագծին առնչվող հարցերը:
 
Այսօր Ազգային ժողովում «Ուժեղ Հայաստան» խմբակցության ղեկավար Նարեկ Կարապետյանը և պատգամավորներ Լիանա Մանուկյանը, Արամ Վարդևանյանն ու Ռուբեն Մխիթարյանը հանդիպել են Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում Կանադայի դեսպանի հետ։ Հանդիպման սկզբում Նարեկ Կարապետյանը շնորհավորել է դեսպանին նշանակման կապակցությամբ՝ մաղթելով արդյունավետ աշխատանք։
Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են հայ-կանադական հարաբերությունների զարգացման, տնտեսական համագործակցության ընդլայնման և ներդրումային հնարավորությունների հարցերը։
 
Անդրադարձ է կատարվել խաղաղության գործընթացին և TRIPP նախագծին։ «Ուժեղ Հայաստան» խմբակցության ներկայացուցիչներն ընդգծել են, որ Ադրբեջանի կողմից նորանոր պահանջների առաջադրումն ու բանակցային գործընթացի ձգձգումը խոչընդոտում են խաղաղության պայմանագրի ստորագրմանը։ Տարածաշրջանային ցանկացած նախաձեռնություն պետք է հիմնված լինի Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանության և պետական շահերի պաշտպանության վրա։
 
Խմբակցության ներկայացուցիչներն առանձնահատուկ մտահոգություն են հայտնել Հայաստանում ժողովրդավարական արժեքների նահանջի, ընդդիմադիր քաղաքական ուժերի նկատմամբ ճնշումների և քաղաքական քննադատությանն ի պատասխան քրեական հետապնդումների կիրառման առնչությամբ։ Անդրադարձել են նաև Ազգային ժողովում տեղի ունեցած բռնության միջադեպին՝ անընդունելի համարելով իշխանության ներկայացուցիչների այն արձագանքները, որոնք կարող են ընկալվել որպես բռնության արդարացում կամ խրախուսում։
 
Ընդգծել են, որ ժողովրդավարությունը ենթադրում է ոչ միայն ընտրություններ, այլև խոսքի ազատություն, քաղաքական բազմակարծություն, մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանություն և օրենքի գերակայություն։
Քննարկված հարցերի շուրջ խմբակցության ներկայացուցիչները ներկայացրել են իրենց դիրքորոշումներն ու տեսլականը՝ մասնավորապես անդրադառնալով տարածաշրջանային խաղաղությանը, ժողովրդավարությանը և մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությանը։ Հետաքրքրությամբ լսել են նաև կանադացի գործընկերների տեսակետներն ու առաջարկները՝ կարևորելով կառուցողական երկխոսությունն ու կարծիքների փոխանակումը։
 
Հատուկ ընդգծվել է հայ-կանադական երկխոսության և համագործակցության շարունակական զարգացման կարևորությունը՝ ի շահ Հայաստանի անվտանգության, տնտեսական զարգացման և միջազգային դիրքերի ամրապնդման։
