ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Մարկո Ռուբիոն հայտարարել է, որ Դոնալդ Թրամփի վարչակազմը չի աջակցել սենատոր Ֆլավիո Բոլսոնարուի՝ Միացյալ Նահանգներ մեկնելուն՝ Բրազիլիայի նախագահական ընտրություններում նրա պարտությունից հետո։ Այս մասին նա հայտարարել է լրագրողներին Ատլանտայում, որտեղ անցկացվում էր G20-ի երկրների արտաքին գործերի նախարարների հանդիպումը, հաղորդում է Associated Press-ը։

«Մենք ոչինչ չենք կազմակերպել», — ասել է Ռուբիոն։

Ըստ նրա, ամերիկյան իշխանությունները Բոլսոնարուի՝ ԱՄՆ ժամանելու մասին իմացել են միայն նրա ժամանումից հետո։

Սենատորն արդեն ուներ ամերիկյան վիզա, իսկ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը որոշել է թույլատրել նրա մուտքը երկիր։

«ԱՄՆ կառավարությունն ուղղակիորեն չի մասնակցել ձեռնարկված որևէ գործողության», — հավելել է պետքարտուղարը։

Բոլսոնարուն Մայամի է ժամանել չորեքշաբթի՝ ընտրություններում Բրազիլիայի նախագահ Լուիս Ինասիու Լուլա դա Սիլվայից կրած պարտությունից հետո։ Դրանից մեկ օր առաջ Պետդեպարտամենտը հայտնել էր, որ Բոլսոնարուին և նրա ընտանիքի անդամներին ամերիկյան վիզաներ կտրամադրվեն։

Քաղաքական գործիչը չի ընդունել պարտությունը և ընտրությունները կեղծված է անվանել՝ առանց ապացույցներ ներկայացնելու։ Նախընտրական քարոզարշավի ընթացքում նա օգտվում էր Թրամփի ոչ բացահայտ աջակցությունից։

Միաժամանակ Բրազիլիայում սենատորի նկատմամբ քննություն է ընթանում՝ կոռուպցիայի, փողերի լվացման և հարկերից խուսափելու կասկածանքով։ Ավելի վաղ ոստիկանությունը համարել էր, որ նա հակված է փախուստի, ինչից հետո իշխանությունները նրան պարտավորեցրել էին հանձնել անձնագիրը։

Սենատորի հայրը՝ Բրազիլիայի նախկին նախագահ Ժաիր Բոլսոնարուն, նույնպես չէր ընդունել 2022 թվականի ընտրություններում իր պարտությունը։ Այժմ նա պետական հեղաշրջման փորձի գործով 27 տարվա ազատազրկման պատիժ է կրում։

Ֆլավիո Բոլսոնարուն Սենատում ներկայացնում է Ռիո դե Ժանեյրո նահանգը, սակայն կկորցնի իր տեղը փետրվարի 1-ին խորհրդարանի նոր կազմի աշխատանքն սկսվելուց հետո։ Ուրբաթ նա Instagram-ի ուղիղ եթերում կրկին հայտարարել է, որ քաղաքական հետապնդման է ենթարկվում։
