Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վոլոդիմիր Զելենսկին հույս է հայտնել, որ ԱՄՆ-ի միջանկյալ ընտրություններում դեմոկրատների հաջողությունը կնպաստի Ռուսաստանի դեմ չորս տարի շարունակվող պատերազմում Ուկրաինային ցուցաբերվող աջակցության ավելացմանը։ Այս մասին Զելենսկին խոսել է գերմանական ZDF հեռուստաընկերությանը տված հարցազրույցում։

Մասնավորապես, նա հույս է հայտնել, որ հաջորդ տարի Կոնգրեսի երկու պալատներում էլ դեմոկրատների վերահսկողության հաստատմամբ պայմանավորված փոփոխությունները ձեռնտու կլինեն Կիևին։

«Ես երախտապարտ եմ նաև հանրապետականներին, բայց դեմոկրատները շատ հստակ են արտահայտվում Ուկրաինային աջակցելու և օգնություն տրամադրելու հարցում։ Նրանք խոսում են Միացյալ Նահանգների և Եվրոպայի միջև կապերի վերականգնման մասին… Հետևաբար, հույս կա, որ ուժերի հավասարակշռություն կհաստատվի, և մենք ավելի մեծ աջակցություն կստանանք»,- ասել է Զելենսկին։

Նա նշել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից լրացուցիչ օգնությունը կարող է ազդել Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի վրա։

«Եթե Կոնգրեսն այժմ խոսի ուժեղ ֆինանսական աջակցության կամ ռազմական օգնության մասին, ինչպես այսօր անում և ցույց է տալիս Եվրոպան, ապա դա կազդի Պուտինի վրա»,- ասել է Ուկրաինայի ղեկավարը։

Զելենսկին անդրադարձել է նաև Իլոն Մասկի SpaceX ընկերության Starlink արբանյակային կապի համակարգից օգտվելու հնարավորությանը և պատերազմի վերաբերյալ Մասկի դիրքորոշման հետ կապված վերապահումներին։

«Մենք երախտապարտ ենք SpaceX-ին մեզ կապի հնարավորություններ տրամադրելու համար։ Դա շատ օգտակար էր պատերազմի սկզբում։ Բայց այս հարցում պետք է շատ հստակ լինենք. մենք հավանություն չենք տալիս նրա դիրքորոշմանը այս պատերազմի վերաբերյալ»,- ասել է Զելենսկին։
