Ucom and Republican Union of Employers of Armenia Sign Cooperation Memorandum
SOCIETYUcom and the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia (RUEA) have signed a memorandum of cooperation, joining efforts to strengthen the link between education and the labor market, develop professional skills, and enhance employers’ competitiveness.
The memorandum was signed by Ralph Yirikian, General Director of Ucom and Vahagn Hambardzumyan, President of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia.
One of the key areas of cooperation is the development of work-based learning. The parties plan to support students in acquiring practical skills, expand internship opportunities, and strengthen cooperation between employers and educational institutions. Joint initiatives are also planned to develop young people’s digital skills, support career guidance, and build competencies aligned with labor market needs.
“At Ucom, we believe that technological advancement must go hand in hand with the development of professional skills. The labor market is evolving rapidly, and young people need not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills and opportunities to gain experience in real working environments. Through this cooperation, we aim to strengthen the connection between education and business, while leveraging our technological expertise and capabilities to develop solutions that address employers’ actual needs,” said Ralph Yirikian, General Director of Ucom.
The cooperation also includes knowledge and experience sharing, joint seminars and business meetings, as well as initiatives focused on the adoption of green technologies, efficient use of resources, and environmental protection.
“This bilateral cooperation will create mutual value by supporting the representation of Ucom’s interests in public-private dialogue platforms and industry discussions, while also strengthening engagement with the business community. It will provide opportunities to identify business needs and development priorities, as well as introduce the company’s technological and digital solutions to the business community,” said Vahagn Hambardzumyan, President of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia.
Ucom and RUEA plan to develop new models of cooperation connecting business, technology, and education, contributing to human capital development, the adoption of innovative solutions, and the long-term competitiveness of businesses.
