Վերջին մեկ օրվա նավթի գներն ավելի քան 6 տոկոսով իջել են Սաուդյան Արաբիայի ներկայացուցիչների նոր հայտարարությունների ֆոնին: Փետրվարի 24-ին Լոնդոնի ICE սակարանում առեւտրաշրջանի սկսվելուց հետո Հյուսիսային ծովի Brent մակնիշն Էժանացել Է 1,4 տոկոսով՝ մինչեւ 32,7 դոլար, իսկ նախորդ օրն այն իջել Էր գրեթե 5 տոկոսով:
Սաուդյան Արաբիայի նավթի նախարար Ալի ալ Նայիմին փետրվարի 23-ին ասել Է, որ նավթի արտադրության սառեցման շուրջը համաձայնությունը չի նշանակում հանույթի ծավալների ապագա նվազեցում: Բացի դրանից, Իրանն արել Է մի քանի հակասական հայտարարություններ, որոնցում չի համաձայնել երկրում արդյունահանումը սահմանափակելու անհրաժեշտությանը:
Փետրվարի 16-ին Ռուսաստանը եւ ՕՊԷՔ-ի մի քանի մասնակիցներ (Սաուդյան Արաբիա, Քատար եւ Վենեսուելա) համաձայնության են եկել սահմանափակելու նավթի արդյունահանումը՝ գնանշումները պահպանելու նպատակով, որոնք մեկուկես տարում 70 տոկոսով իջել են: Համաձայնությանը միանալու մտադրության մասին հայտնել են նաեւ Իրաքը եւ Քուվեյթը, իսկ փետրվարի 20-ին՝ ավելացել Է Նիգերիան:
