ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության արդեն նախկին նախարար Արմեն Աշոտյանն իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրառում է կատարել նախարարի լիազորություններն ավարտելու կապակցությամբ: ««Ավարտելով Հայաստանի կրթության և գիտության նախարարի իմ լիազորությունները՝ շնորհակալությունս եմ հայտնում՝

- Երկրի Նախագահին՝ վստահության, այս տարիների ընթացքում ոլորտին ցուցաբերած ուշադրության և աջակցության համար:

 - Կառավարության ղեկավարին՝ համատեղ գործունեության և թիմային աշխատանքի համար:

 - Կառավարության բոլոր անդամներին՝ գործընկերության և ընկերության համար;

- ՀՀ ԿԳՆ աշխատակազմին՝ դրսևորած պրոֆեսիոնալիզմի և գիտելիքի միջոցով Հայրենիքը շենացնելու հավատի համար:

 - Բոլոր ուսուցիչներին, դասախոսներին և գիտնականներին՝ իրենց աշխատանքային նվիրվածության և առաքելության համար:

 - Մեր աշակերտներին և ուսանողներին՝ իրենց պայծառության և մեր երկրում իրենց ապագան սեփական խելքով կառուցելու պատրաստակամության համար:

 - Լրատվական միջոցներին՝ լուսաբանման, քննադատության և դրվատանքի համար:

- Մայր Աթոռին, մեր բոլոր գործընկեր կազմակերպություններին՝ արդյունավետ համագործակցության և հետևողական սատարման համար:

 - Մեր քաղաքացիներին՝ մեր երեխաներին լավ կրթություն և դաստիարակություն տալու մեր համատեղ ջանքերի համար:

 Հետագա հաջողություններ եմ մաղթում նորանշանակ նախարարին, նախարարության կոլեկտիվին և ամբողջ ոլորտին իրենց դժվար, բայց շնորհակալ ու կարևոր գործում»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` գրել է Արմեն Աշոտյանը:

            ՀՀ Նախագահի հրամանագրով Արմեն Աշոտյանն ազատվել է ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության նախարարի պաշտոնից: Սերժ Սարգսյանի մեկ այլ հրամանագրով ԿԳ նախարար է նշանակվել դաշնակցական Լևոն Մկրտչյանը:
