Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Դեւիդ Քեմերոնը հայտարարել է, որ Եվրամիությունից երկրի դուրս գալու որոշումը հարյուրամյակի արկածախնդրությունը կլինի: Իշխող Պահպանողական կուսակցության ղեկավարն այս մասին գրել է փետրվարի 28-ին The Telegraph պարբերականում հրապարակված հոդվածում:

Ըստ ՏԱՍՍ-ի, Քեմերոնը, որը ԵՄ-ի Մեծ Բրիտանիայի անդամության հարցով հանրաքվեի անցկացումը նշանակել է հունիսի 23-ին, թվարկել է այն բոլոր ռիսկերը, որոնց երկիրը կբախվի, եթե բնակչությունը որոշի խզել կապերը Բրյուսելի հետ:

«Դա մեծ ռիսկ է մեր տնտեսության համար, քանի որ այդ փոփոխությունները կարող են ճնշում գործադրել ֆունտի վրա, մեր գիտական հաջողությունների եւ աճի ցուցանիշների: Դա ռիսկ է հանցավորության եւ անվտանգության հարցերով համագործակցության համար: Եվ դա ռիսկ է միջազգային կարեւոր կազմակերպություններում որպես ուժեղ երկրի մեր վարկանիշի համար»,- գրել է Քեմերոնը:

Վարչապետը նաեւ թվարկել է այն բոլոր սպառնալիքները, որոնց բախվել է երկիրը վերջին տարիներին եւ որոնք հնարավոր է լուծել միայն ԵՄ-ի գործընկերների հետ համագործակցությամբ:

«Մտածեք այն բաների մասին, որոնք մեզ սպառնացել են վերջին տարիներին. Իրանի միջուկային հեռանկարները, Ուկրաինայում ռուսական ագրեսիան, միգրացիոն ճգնաժամի ազդեցությունը, իսլամական ծայրահեղականության եւ ահաբեկչության թույնը»,- ընդգծել է նա:

Վերջին հարցումների համաձայն, ԵՄ-ին անդամակցության կողմնակիցների եւ հակառակորդների թիվը գրեթե հավասար է:
