Հայերն իրենց մշակույթին վերաբերվում են ինչպես հանգուցյալի: Ասվածի վառ ապացույցն է այն, որ ոչ ոք դրա մասին չի խոսում ներկա ժամանակով, իսկ եթե խոսում է, ապա դրա բացակայության մասին. «Իսկ դուք գիտե՞ք, թե ինչ մշակույթ են ունեցել հայերը»: Ահա այսպիսի նախադասությամբ ենք մենք դիմավորում Հայաստան ժամանած զբոսաշրջիկներին, բայց երբեք չենք ասում, թե ինչ ունենք այժմ:
Հայաստանում գործում է հետևյալ սկզբունքը. հանգուցյալի ետևից՝ կամ լավը, կամ ոչինչ: Եթե ուշադրություն եք դարձրել, հայկական մշակույթի մասին խոսելիս նույնպես մենք խոսում ենք կամ լավը, կամ ոչինչ: Դեռ ավելին՝ հայերը շատ են սիրում հանգուցյալների պաշտամունքը՝ նրանց հաղորդելով բացառիկ և վերբնական հատկություններ: Ճիշտ նույնը կատարվում է նաև մշակույթի պարագայում:
Երևի թե զբոսաշրջիկներն այնքան էլ կոռեկտ չեն համարում, որպեսզի հարցնեն, թե ո՞ւր է այդ մշակույթն այսօր, որտե՞ղ է, և վերջապես որտե՞ղ են դրա կրողները: Կամ էլ երևի հարցնում են և որպես պատասխան ստանում են հայկական մշակույթի «գլուխգործոց» խորովածը, չէ՞ որ ազգային ավանդույթ է, բոլոր դժվար հարցեր տվող արտասահմանցիների բերանը փակել ուտել-խմելու միջոցով:
