Գրեթե բոլոր աշխարհակալները փորձել են գրավել Ռուսաստանը, դա եղել է նրանց երազանքը, գերնպատակներից մեկը: Մոնղոլ-թաթարները, թուրքերը, գերմանացիները՝ երկու անգամ, ֆրանսիացիները…

Նապոլեոնն ասում էր. <>: Սակայն, նա պարտություն կրեց՝ պարտություն կրեց ոչ թե մարդկանցից, այլ իր սեփական ամբարտավանությունից ու կլիմայական պայմաններից: Քառորդ դար գրեթե անընդմեջ հաջորդած պատերազմներից հետո ֆրանսիական բանակի ոգին փոխվել էր. անողոք, անպարտելի, հաղթական, հերոսական, հանրապետական բանակից, այն դարձել էր ավելի եսապաշտական, թուլակամ ու միապետական: Ինչքան համազգեստի զարդարանքն ավելի ճոխ էր դառնում, ինչքան ավելանում էին պլպլան շքանշանները, այնքան դրանց տակ բաբախող սրտերը դառնում էին անտարբեր, լկտի, կողոպտիչ ու անգութ:

Նապոլեոնի բանակում հետզհետե հաղթանակեցին բանսարկուները, խառնակիչները, ապաշնորհները, շողոքորթողներն ու հլու-հնազանդ կամակատարները: Արդեն պաշտոններ և կոչումներ էին ստանում գրեթե բացառապես անարժաններն ու հովանավորյալները:

Ֆրանսիացիները պարտվեցին ռուսներին, որովհետև Նապոլեոնն արդեն այն՝ նախկին զորավարը չէր, որ գլխավորում էր բանակն Իտալիայում և Եգիպտոսում: Կարգապահությունը բանակում խախտվել էր, չկար առաջվա ոգին, նվիրվածությունը Ֆրանսիային ու Բոնապարտին:

Փաստորեն, երբ Նապոլեոնը Վարշավայում ասաց. <>, պարզ գիտակցում էր, որ պատմության հեղեղը փոխել է իր ընթացքը…Նա բախվել էր ռուսական աննկուն ոգուն, հայրենիքի նկատմամբ անմնացորդ սիրուն և նվիրվածությանը:

Հիմա էլ, մեր օրերում նույնպես, ողջ Արևմուտքը փորձում է խեղճացնել Ռուսաստանին, տրոհել, քայքայել՝ օգտագործելով տնտեսական, քաղաքական, լոկալ պատերազմական և պայքարի գրեթե բոլոր ձևերն ու մեթոդները, շոշափուկներն ակնհայտ տարածելով Արևմուտքից, Հարավից, բոլոր կողմերից…
Ռուսատանին, ռուսներին կարող ես ատել, չսիրել, արհամարհել, բայց թերագնահատել՝ երբեք…

Ռուսաստանը միշտ էլ ամենավճռական պահին բռնցքվելու մեծ ունակություն ունի ու միշտ էլ մնացել է իրեն թերագնահատողների կոկորդում….
