ՄԱԿ-ում բարձր են գնահատել ցեղասպանությունների կանխարգելման ուղղությամբ Հայաստանի ջանքերը

Աշխատանքային այցով Ժնևում գտնվող արտաքին գործերի նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը փետրվարի 29-ին հանդիպել է ՄԱԿ-ի մարդու իրավունքների գերագույն հանձնակատար Զեիդ Ռաադ Ալ Հուսեյնին։ Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, ողջունելով Հայաստանի արտգործնախարարին՝ հանձնակատար Ալ Հուսեյնը բարձր է գնահատել Հայաստանի նախաձեռնողական, հետևողական ջանքերը նոր ցեղասպանությունների կանխարգելման ուղղությամբ` ընդգծելով, որ այսօր միջազգային հանրությունն առավել վճռական է տրամադրված մարդկության դեմ հանցագործությունների կանխարգելման գործում։ Այս առումով նախարար Նալբանդյանն շեշտել է. «Որպես 20-դարի առաջին ցեղասպանությունը վերապրած ժողովուրդ՝ մենք պարտավորված ենք զգում քայլեր ձեռնարկել մարդկության դեմ նոր հանցագործությունները բացառելու գործում միջազգային հանրության ջանքերի միավորման ուղղությամբ»։
Հանդիպմանը քննարկվել են Մերձավոր Արևելքում տիրող իրավիճակի հետևանքով մարդու իրավունքներին, փոքրամասնություններին առնչվող խնդիրները և դրանց լուծման ուղղությամբ ձեռնարկվող քայլերը։ Այս առումով նշվել է, որ Հայաստանը ապաստան է տվել Սիրիայից ժամանած շուրջ 20 000 փախստականների։
Զրուզակիցներն անդրադարձել են Հայաստանում մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությանն առնչվող հարցերին: Այս համատեքստում Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանն ընդգծել է, որ այդ ուղղությամբ Հայաստանի և մարդու իրավունքներով զբաղվող միջազգային կազմակերպությունների միջև արդյունավետ համագործակցություն է հաստատվել։
Զրուցակցի խնդրանքով Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը ներկայացրել է ղարաբաղյան հիմնախնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորման ուղղությամբ Հայաստանի և ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների կողմից գործադրվող ջանքերը։
