Մոսկվայում մարտի 11-ին մեկնարկելիք Հավակնորդների մրցաշարից առաջ Լևոն Արոնյանը հարցազրույց է տվել ռուսական sport-express.ru թերթին: Ինչպես հաղորդում է«Արմենպրես»-ը, հարցազրույցում Արոնյանը նշել է, որ պատրաստ է ցանկացած պահի մենամարտել աշխարհի գործող չեմպիոն ՝նովեգացի Մագնուս Կառլսենի հետ՝ ընդգծելով, որ շատ է ցանկանում շախմատի աշխարհի չեմպիոն դառնալ:
«Ինձ շատ է դուր գալիս հավակնորդների մրցաշարում խաղալը: Ես հասկանում եմ, որ դա ընդամենը մեկ մրցաշար է, որտեղ ինչպես համարում են, կարող է հաղթել ցանկացածը: Սակայն այնտեղ ի վերջո հաղթում է ուժեղագույնը: Սովորաբար հենց սկզբից լավ խաղ ցուցադրողն էլ կարողանում է վերջում հաղթանակի հասնել: Ինձ թվում է ողջ պատմության ընթացքում երբեք այնպես չի եղել, որ չեմպիոնական թագի համար մրցամարտին մասնակցի որևէ պատահական մարդ »,- ասել է Արոնյանը:
Անդրադառնալով Ցյուրիխի մրցաշարում անհաջող ելույթին, Արոնյանը նշել է, որ այդ մրցաշարից հետո հասկացել է, որ դեռ հեռու է իր մարզական ու հոգեբանական լավագույն վիճակից. «Երբ վատ ես խաղում, երբեք էլ չես կարող գոհ լինել քեզանից: Հավակնորդների մրցաշարից առաջ պետք է աշխատել ու շտկել բոլոր թերությունները: Անհրաժեշտ է ոչ միայն ֆիզիկապես պատրաստ լինել, այլ նաեւ շախմատային տեսանկյունից»,-ընդգծել է նա:
Շախմատիստը նշել է նաեւ, որ ինքը բնավորությամբ շատ բարի է եւ իրեն անհրաժեշտ է լրացուցիչ լիցքավորվել: «Ափսոս չկա «կատաղություն» անվանումով դեղամիջոց, ինչպես Լիոպոլդ կատվի հայտնի մուլտֆիլմում: Ես ողջ ուժով ջանում եմ կատաղել ինքս ինձ, մրցակիցներից ու այն ամենի վրա, որ կա իմ շրջապատում, սակայն դա ինձ մոտ անբնական է ստացում, քանի որ դա հատուկ չէ իմ բնավորությանը»,- ասել է Արոնյանը:
Հավակնորդների մրցաշարը մարտի 11-28-ը կայանալու է Մոսկվայում: Մարտի 11-ին տեղի ունենալիք 1-ին տուրում Արոնյանի սևերով մրցելու է 21-ամյա հոլանդացի գրոսմայստեր Անիշ Գիրին հետ:
