Սիրիայի փախստականների ճգնաժամն արդեն վաղուց ողջ աշխարհում և մասնավորապես Եվրոպայում դարձել է լայն քննարկման առարկա: Ու մինչ եվրոպական երկրները համաձայնում են առաջ տանել եվրոպական արժեքներն ու սկբունքները, համերաշխությանն ուղղված գործողությունների թիվը նվազում է: Միևնույն ժամանակ շատերի համար անծանոթ Հայաստանը, որն ունի 3 միլիոն բնակիչ, ողջունում է փախստականներին, ովքեր փախչում են պատերազմից և բռնություններից: Այս խնդրին The Huffington Post-ի բլոգում անդրադարձել են Լունա Ադամյանն ու Հայկարամ Նահապետյանը:
Համաձայն ՄԱԿ-ի փախստականների հարցով գործակալության (UNHCR) տվյալների՝ սիրիական հակամարտության ամենասկզբից մինչև օրս Հայաստան են տեղափոխվել 17 հազար սիրիացիներ: «Սիրիացի փախստականների հոսքը հիշեցրել է հայերին սեփական ողբերգական պատմությունը, որը և բացատրում է այս երկրի բարոյական և պատմական պարտքի մասին՝ բացելու դռներն ու ապահով վայր առաջարկելու նրանց, ովքեր փախել են պատերազմից և հետապնդումներից: Նրանց մեծ մասն այն հայերի սերունդներն են, ովքեր փրկվել էին 1915 թվականին օսմանյան թուրքերի կողմից ծրագրավորված Ցեղասպանությունից և հա ստատվել Սիրիայում: Մյուս փոքրամասնությունները՝ եզդիներն ու ասորիները, ևս ապաստան գտան Հայաստանում»,- նշում են հեղինակները:
Հայաստանի կառավարությունն աշխատում է անհետաձգելի մարդասիրական օգնություն տրամադրելու ուղղությամբ՝ առաջարկելով հրատապ օգնություն և ինտեգրացիոն նախագծեր: Մասնավորապես, կառավարությունն առաջարկում է առողջապահական ապահովագրություն, կրթաթոշակներ, ապաստանի և քաղաքացիության տրամադրման դյուրացված գործընթաց: Բացի այդ, «ընդունիր ընտանիք» նախագծի շրջանակում փախստականները տեղական հայկական ընտանիքների օգնությամբ փորձում են ինտեգրվել Հայաստանի սոցիալական, իրավական և մշակութային կյանք:
Հոդվածի հեղինակները փաստում են, որ ի տարբերություն Սիրիայի հարևաններ Լիբանանի, Թուրքիայի կամ Հորդանանի՝ Հայաստանը չի ստացել ֆինանսական օգնություն, որով կիրականացներ իր մարդասիրական օգնությունը:
Նրանք ընդգծում են, որ միջազգային հանրությունը պետք է Հայաստանին ֆինանսական օգնություն տրամադրի, որպեսզի երկիրը կարողանա ընդունել և ինտեգրել փախստականների:
