Մազերի, մաշկի, եղունգների վիճակը կարող են շատ բան ասել որոշ վիտամինների կամ նյութերի անբավարարության մասին:
Մարմնի վրայի մազերը նույնպես կարող են վկայել առողջական տարբեր խնդիրների մասին:

1 Գենետիկ ժառանգականություն
Տարբեր էթնիկ խմբերին բնորոշ են մարմնի վրայի մազերի տարբեր տիպեր. Կարճ և բարակ կամ երկար և հաստ: Երկրորդ տիպը ավելի քիչ է հանդիպում Ասիայի բնակիչների մոտ, իսկ ահա Կենտրոնական և Արևելյան Եվրոպայի բնակիչների մոտ դա տարածված է:
2 Աուտոիմունային խնդիրներ
Աուտոիմունային հիվանդույթունների առկայության մասին է խոսում այն իրավիճակը, երբ մարմնի վրա հայտնաբերվում են մազերի կորուստ՝ առանձին կլոր տարածքներում: Բացի այդ, տղամարդու ճաղատությունը կամ ալոպեցիան նույնպես վկայում են աուտոիմունային համակարգի խնդիրների մասին:
3 Հորմոնալ խախտում
Հիրսուտիզմ – սա այն իրավիճակն է, երբ կանանց մոտ նկատվում է մազակալում՝ բնորոշ տղամարդկանց: Նման նորմայից դուրս անցանկալի մազերի աճը ոչ միայն բազմաթիվ տհաճություններ և խնդիրներ է առաջացնում կականց մոտ, այլ նաև հորմոնալ խախտման նշան է հանդիսանում: Այս խնդիրը կարող է տարբեր պատճառներով առաջացած լինել, այդ պատճառով էլ պետք է դիմել բժշկի՝ ճիշտ բուժում ստանալու համար:
4 Խնդիրներ ձվարանների հետ
Եթե հիրսուտիզմն ուղեկցվում է դաշտանային ցիկլի խախտմամբ, դա կարող է կանացի հիվանդությունների տիպիկ նախազգուշացում լինել: Ձվարանների պոլիկիստոզի համախտանիշ՝ հիրսուտիզմի ամենատարածված պատճառներից մեկն է, որը հանգեցնում է նաև ձվարանների ոչ ճիշտ աշխատանքին:
5 Ուռուցք
Եթե հայտնաբերվում է տեստոստերոնի և DHEAS հորմոնի մակարդակի բարձրացում, ապա հնարավոր է, որ օրգանիզմում ինչ-որ տեղ ուռուցք է առաջացել, որը տղամարդու հորմոններ է արտադրում: Պետք է անպայման դիմել բժշկի և հետազոտվել:
6 Երկաթի պակաս կամ հիպոթիրեոզ՝ վահանաձև գեղձի գերֆունկցիա
Բոլորը գիտեն, որ օրական 100-150 մազ կորցնելը նորմալ է համարվում մազերի թարմացման ցիկլի համար: Սակայն միանգամից «բռերով» մազաթափությունը կարող է խոսել լուրջ խնդիրների մասին. Երկաթի անբավարարություն կամ վահանաձև գեղձի գերֆունկցիա:
7 Վնասակար սովորություններ
Որոշ վնասակար նյութերի ընդունումը (հաբեր, թմրադեղեր և այլն) կարող է լրջորեն ազդել օրգանիզմի վրա և արտահայտվել մարմնի մազակալումով:
