Միացյալ Նահանգների հայկական համայնքը ողջունել է ԱՄՆ Ջորջիա նահանգի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի կողմից Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետությունը ճանաչող 1580 բանաձևի ընդունման փաստը: Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է Հայ դատի ԱՄՆ հանձնախումբը:

Բանաձի հեղինակները և հիմնական ջատագովները նահանգային օրենսդիր մարմնում դեմոկրատ ներկայացուցիչներ Փեթ Գարդները և Դեմետրիուս Դուգլասն էին, ում հետ աշխատել են Ջորջիայում Հայ դատի հանձնախմբի անդամներ Սարգիս և Հարություն Աղասարգսյանները: «Ջորջիայի հայ համայնքը ողջունում է ներկայացուցիչներ Գարդների և Դուգլասի ներդրումը նահանգի կողմից Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության ճանաչման գործում, ինչը վերահաստատում է ժողովրդավարական իրավունքների և ազատությունների համընդհանրությունը, որն ամերիկացիների և աշխարհի բոլոր քաղաքացիների իրավուն քն է: Նման հպարտ և սկզբունքային դիրքորոշում ընդունելուց հետո այժմ մենք ուղղում ենք մեր հայացքներն ամերիկյան մյուս նահանգներին՝ միանալու Ջորջիային Արցախի ճանաչման հարցում»,- նշել է Սարգիս Աղասարգսյանը:

ԱՄՆ Ջորջիա նահանգի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատը մարտի 3-ին ընդունել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետությունը ճանաչող 1580բանաձևը: Ջորջիան ԱՄՆ վեցերորդ նահանգն է, որ ճանաչել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետությունը: Մինչ այդ նմանատիպ բանաձևերընդունվել էին Կալիֆորնիայի, Լուիզիանայի, Ռոդ Այլենդի, Մասաչուսեթսի և Մենի օրենդսիր մարմիններում:
