«Թալիբան» աֆղանական շարժման ղեկավարությունը գտնվում Է Պակիստանում: Այդ մասին,հայտարարել Է Պակիստանի վարչապետի՝ ազգային անվտանգության եւ արտաքին քաղաքականության հարցերով խորհրդական Սարթաջ Ազիզը՝ Վաշինգտոնում ելույթ ունենալով Միջազգային հարցերի խորհրդի նիստում:
«Մենք ազդեցություն ունենք «Թալիբան» շարժման վրա, քանի որ թալիբների ղեկավարությունը գտնվում Է Պակիստանում,-մարտի 4-ին Սարթաջի խոսքը մեջբերել Է «Դոոն» պակիստանյան թերթը:Նրանք եւ նրանց ընտանիքները մեզանից ստանում են անհրաժեշտ ամեն ինչ, այդ թվում նաեւ բժշկական օգնություն»: Հարավասիական այս երկրի վարչապետի խորհրդականի խոսքով՝ այդ հանգամանքը պակիստանյան կողմին թույլ Է տալիս ազդեցություն գործել «Թալիբանի» վրա, այդ թվում՝ այդ շարժմանը պաշտոնական Քաբուլի հետ երկխոսության ներգրավելու ուղիով:
Այս հայտարարությունը դարձել Է պաշտոնական Իսլամաբադի կողմից աֆղանցի թալիբների ղեկավարների՝ Պակիստանի տարածքում գտնվելու փաստի առաջին հրապարակային խոստովանությունը:
