Առաջին ամուսնական գիշերվա ավանդույթը՝ տարբեր երկրներում

Հին սլավոնական գյուղերում կիրառվում էր, այսպես կոչված, «փորձնական ամուսնության» մեթոդը: Նորապսակները կենակցում էին միմյանց հետ այնքան ժամանակ մինչև ծնվի առաջին զավակը: Քանի որ հին սլավոնները համարում էին, որ ամուսնության միակ նպատակը երեխա ունենալն է, այդպես նրանք ստուգում էին սերունդ տալու նորապսակների ունակությունը և հետո նոր ամրագրում ամուսնությունը եկեղեցով: Որոշ գյուղերում առաջին ամուսնական գիշերը սենյակում հերթապահ էր նշանակվում փեսացուի ավագ եղբայրներից մեկը կամ ազապ բաշին, և եթե տղան չէր կարողանում առաջին անգամից հարսնացուին զրկել կուսությունից, նրան օգնության էր գալիս իր ավագ եղբայրը: Հին ռուսաստանյան բարքերը լուրջ հակասության մեջ են եղել քրիստոնեական դրույթների հետ: Հին Ռուսիայի տարածքում քրիստոնեության հաստատումից հետո եկեղեցին բավականին երկար ժամանակ պայքարել է ռուսական գյուղերում այդ ավանդույթների վերացման դեմ:
Աֆրիկյան որոշ ցեղախմբերի մոտ առաջին ամուսնական գիշերը փեսացուն կոտրում է հարսնացուի դիմացի երկու ատամը` ի նշան նրա, որ կինն ամուսնացած է: Այդ ցեղախմբի կանայք ժպտալիս հպարտությամբ ցուցադրում են իրենց անատամ բերանը:
Ֆիլիպիններում առաջին ամուսնական գիշերը նորապսակները սեռական հարաբերություն չեն ունենում` վախենալով, որ խնջույքի ժամանակ օգտագործած ալկոհոլը կարող է վնասակար ազդեցություն ունենալ հարսնացուի հղիացման դեպքում:
Մեքսիկայի, Պերուի և Բրազիլիայի որոշ գյուղերում նորապսակները մի քանի շաբաթ զերծ են մնում սեռական հարաբերություններից:
Մակեդոնիայում նորապսակները ողջ առաջին գիշերը մրցում են հարսանեկան գլխարկն ու կոշիկները գտնելու համար, քանի որ ըստ ավանդույթի` ով դրանք կգտնի նա էլ կդառնա ընտանիքի գլխավորը:
Կենտրոնական Աֆրիկայի մի շարք ցեղախմբերի նորապսակներն ամուսնության առաջին գիշերը զբաղված են միմյանց ծեծելով: Համաձայն ավանդույթի` այդպես նորապսակները հանում են իրենց մեջից միմյանց հանդեպ չարությունը, որպեսզի հետագայում ապրեն հանգիստ և խաղաղ:
Գերմանիայի որոշ գյուղերում դեռ պահպանվում է ֆեոդալական ավանդույթը, երբ առաջին գիշերվա իրավունքը տրվում էր ֆեոդալին, իսկ մեր օրերում` գյուղապետին:
Հնդկաստանի հարավում գտնվող Կերալա նահանգում ամուսնությունից երեք օր անց ամուսինն իրավունք ունի տանից գնալ և սեռական հարաբերություններ ունենալ այլ կանանց հետ, իսկ կինն էլ իրավունք է ստանում սիրեկան ունենալ: Գիտնականներն ասում են, որ այս ավանդույթը մնացել է դեռ հին շամաններից, երբ Հնդկաստանում տեղ-տեղ մայրիշխանություն էր գործում:
