Միչիգանի համալսարանում «Հայերը և Սառը պատերազմը» խորագրով միջազգային գիտաժողով կանցկացվի

Միչիգանի համալսարանի (Դիրբորն) Հայագիտական հետազոտությունների կենտրոնի նախաձեռնությամբ ԱՄՆ-ում կանցկացվի «Հայերը և Սառը պատերազմը» խորագրով միջազգային գիտաժողով: Ապրիլի 1-3-ն անցկացվող միջգիտաճյուղային գիտաժողովին կմասնակցեն Հայաստանը, Հյուսիսային և Հարավային Ամերիկան ու Եվրոպան ներկայացնող շուրջ 30 գիտնականներ:
Կազմակերպիչների գնահատմամբ, աննախադեպ գիտաժողովի անցկացման նպատակը արդի հայոց պատմության առանցքային ժամանակաշրջաններից մեկի լուսաբանումն ու դրա վերաբերյալ հետագա հետազոտությունների խթանումն է: Մասնավորապես, կազմակերպիչներն ակնկալում են տարբեր դիտանկյուններից ու մի շարք գիտակարգերի ներգրավմամբ մասնագետների ուշադրությունը հրավիրել Սառը պատերազմի համատեքստում Հայաստանում և Սփյուռքում տեղի ունեցած իրադարձություններին, միգրացիային, ինչպես նաև Արևմուտքում ու Խորհրդային Միությունում գործած հայ լրտեսներին առնչվող հարցերին:
Գիտաժողովը կազմակերպվում է Հայկական հետազոտությունների և ուսումնասիրությունների ազգային ընկերակցության (NAASR) և «Գալուստ Գյուլբենկյան» հիմնադրամի հայկական ծրագրերի բաժնի աջակցությամբ: Գիտաժողովին ներկայացված զեկուցումները կհրապարակվեն առանձին ժողովածուով:
