Օպերայի և բալետի ազգային ակադեմիական թատրոնի մուտքի մոտ հատուկ տեսախցիկների համար տարբեր դիրքեր էր ընդունում ԱԺ փոխնախագահուհին։ Հերմինե Նաղդալյանն ուշադրություն էր հրավիրում ձեռքի թեթև շարժումներով՝ մեկ գլուխը աջ թեքելով էր հով անում, մեկ՝ ձախ։ Դա անում էր ամենայն հպարտությամբ՝ հովհարը Առաջին տիկնոջ նվերն էր։
2014-ի մարտի 8-ի համերգը, ինչպես ամեն տարի, Ռիտա Սարգսյանի հովանո ներքո էր անցկացվում։ Այդ անգամ 1070 կանայք եկել էին լսելու ռուս բարիտոն Դմիտրի Խվորոստովսկուն։ Մինչև հատուկ հրավիրված կանայք կզբաղեցնեին իրենց տեղերը, նրանց հանձնում էին հովհարն ու ճշտում, թե ում են ցանկանում տեսնել իրենց տոնը շնորհավորողի դերում։ Պատասխանը գրի էին առնում, որ համերգի ընթացքում տվյալներն ի մի բերեն։
Թե ինչ պիտի լիներ հետո՝ անակնկալ էր։
Ռիտա Սարգսյանը եկավ ճիշտ ժամին։ Ընդ որում, Առաջին տիկինը ներս մտավ ավելի համեստ ու հասարակ պահվածքով, քան հրավիրված կանանցից շատերը։ Իր տեղը զբաղեցրեց ոչ թե օթյակում, այլ պարտերում։ Բայց մինչև այդ, հատուկ կանգ առավ առաջին շարքի մոտ և ողջագուրվեց զոհված զինվորների մայրերի հետ, որոնք պատվավոր տեղերում էին նստած։ Ու սկսվեց երկժամանոց համերգը. Հրանտ Թոխատյանը վարում էր, Խվորոստովսկին` երգում։ Բեմի վրայի տղամարդկանցից ու նկարահանողներից բացի, դահլիճում արական սեռի այլ ներկայացուցիչ չկար։
Ու այդպես մինչև այն պահը, երբ հայտարարվեց. իսկ հիմա` անակնկալը։ Կանաց ճաշակը բազմազան էր՝ որոշ կանայք ցանկացել էին, որ իրենց շնորհավորի Լևոն Մալխասյանը: Որոշ կանանց համար Գեորգի Կիմիչի մաղթանքն էր ցանկալի։ Գտնվեցին նաև այնպիսիք, որոնց ընտրությունը Պարույր Հայրիկյանի վրա կանգ առավ։
Բայց մեծ մասը նշել էր Սերժ Սարգսյանի անունը։
Մարտի 8-ին՝ այն էլ միամսյակի սկզբում, կանաց ուզածն օրենք է։ Քվեարկության արդյունքը Նախագահի կինը լսում էր՝ գլուխը բարձր պահած։ Ու հանկարծ հենց նրա վրա կանգ առավ Հրանտ Թոխատյանի հայացքը։ Խոստացել են՝ կանանց ընտրյալը պետք է շնորհավորի հենց հիմա, հեռախոսով։ Հիմա խոստումը պիտի կատարեն։ Բայց ինչպե՞ս։ Վարողը Նախագահի համարը չունի։

Հրանտ Թոխատյանը սկսեց կմկմալ, բայց Առաջին տիկինը փրկեց իրավիճակը։ Այսքան կին է ցանկանում լսել իր ամուսնուն՝ խնդիր չէ, նա չի խանդում։ Նույնիսկ պատրաստ է Սերժ Սարգսյանի հեռախոսահամարը տալ… Ու տվեց։ Հրանտ Թոխատյանին։ Հեռախոսի մյուս ծայրում կնոջ ձայն լսվեց՝դահլիճը փռթկաց, Ռիտա Սարգսյանը՝ նույնպես։
