«Ասպարեզ» մամուլի ակումբի ղեկավար Լևոն Բարսեղյանը վստահեցնում է, որ առայժմ չի զբաղվում ակտիվ քաղաքականությամբ, թեև Գյումրիի ավագանու անդամ է: Խոսելով սեպտեմբերին Գյումրիում կայանալիք ՏԻՄ ընտրություններին հնարավոր մասնակցության մասին՝ նա Past.am-ի հեզ զրույցում նշեց, որ ընտրական նոր օրենսգրքով իշխանություններն այնպես են ուզում անել, որ ավագանու համար ընտրությունները լինեն համամասնական ընտրակարգով:

«Դա վատ բան չէ, վաղուց կարելի էր անել, սակայն սրտովս չէ, որ քաղաքապետի ընտրությունները լինելու են «երկու հարկանի», այսինքն՝ ավագանին է ընտրելու քաղաքապետ, այլ ոչ թե ուղիղ ժողովուրդը: Ուզում են սարքել Երևանի նման, կասկածում եմ, որ իշխանությունները կնահանջեն իրենց բռնած դիրքից: Եթե այդպես մնա, այնպես ինչպես նախագծում է, ավագանու անդամության թեկնածուների ցուցակ առաջադրել կկարողանան միայն կուսակցությունները և կուսակցությունների դաշինքները, իսկ քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնություններն ու անկուսակցականները կա´մ չեն մասնակցի, կա´մ դատապարտված են լինելու մտնել այս կամ այն կուսակցության կամ դաշինքի ցուցակի մեջ»,- մեկնաբանեց Բարսեղյանը՝ նշելով, որ կարելի էր հնարավորություն տալ նաև քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնություններին առաջադրել ցուցակ:

«Եթե բան չփոխվի, ապա շատ կասկածում եմ, որ կկարողանամ որևէ կուսակցության ցուցակում լինել»,- ընդգծեց մեր զրուցակիցը: Պատճառը, ըստ նրա, այն է, որ թեկնածուն այնպես թե այնպես նույնականացվում է կուսակցության կամ նրա գաղափարախոսության հետ, իսկ իշխանությունները ջանում են քաղաքի կառավարման գործից դուրս թողնել անկուսակցականներին:

Պատասխանելով մեր հարցին, թե նման պարագայում արդյոք ինքը մտադրություն չունի ստեղծել քաղաքական ուժ, Բարսեղյանը պատասխանեց. «Ես ո´չ դրա ժամանակն ունեմ, ո´չ էլ, դժբախտաբար, միջոցները, երկուսն էլ շատ կարևոր հանգամանքներ են: Իսկապես պետք է ամեն ինչ թողնել քաղաքական պայքարի մեջ մտնելու համար: 3-4 տարի առաջ,երբ նախաձեռնեցինք «Քաղաքը մերն է» քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնությունը, մեր շարքերում կուսակցականներ չկային, մեր գաղափարը տեղական ինքնակառավարման բարելավումն էր, իսկ հիմա իշխանությունը մեզ և քաղաքացիական այն նախաձեռնություններին, խմբերին զրկում է համանման հնարավորությունց՝ ստիպելով մտածել այդ երկընտրանքի մասին՝ լինե՞լ կուսակցության մեջ, ստեղծե՞լ կուսակցություն, թե՞ ընդհանրապես մնալ կողքից դիտորդի կարգավիճակում»:

«Ասպարեզ» մամուլի ակումբի ղեկավարը, ճիշտ է, առանձնապես հույս չունի, որ իշխանություններն այս հարցում կփոխեն իրենց դիրքորոշումը, սակայն մտադիր է առաջարկել, որպեսզի քաղաքացիական նախաձեռնությունները նույնպես կարողանան ցուցակ ներկայացնել:
