««Ժողովուրդ»-ին հայտնի դարձավ, որ Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսը օրերս ԱՄՆ հայկական խոշոր համայնքներից մեկում հայտարարել էր, որ դեսպանությունը հայաստանցի ծրագրավորողներին մուտքի վիզաներ չի տրամադրում՝ իրենց երկրում աշխատատեղերը պաշտպանելու համար։ «Ժողովուրդ»–ը դեսպանին խնդրել է հստակեցնել, թե «ինչպես կարող է հայաստաևցի ծրագրավորողների հոսքը ԱՄՆ ազդել այդ բնագավառի աշխատատեղերի վրա՝ հաշվի առնելով ԱՄՆ-ի տնտեսության ծավալները»։ Դեսպանը մեր հարցմանը շատ օպերատիվ պատասխանել է, սակայն, ինչպես սովորաբար լինում է դիվանագետների դեպքում, բուն թեմային այդպես էլ չանդրադառնալով։ Դեսպանի պատասխանում մասնավորապես ասված է. «Դեսպանության անձնակազմը մի քանի հանդիպում է ունեցել Հայաստանի կապի և տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների ոլորտի առաջատար ներկայացուցիչների հետ։ Վերջերս հյուպատոս Ֆրենք Տուն հանդիպում ունեցավ գործարար համայնքի մի շարք ներկայացուցիչների հետ՝ անդրադառնալով վիզաների հետ կապված հարցերին։ Մենք պատրաստ ենք շարունակել այս երկխոսությունը»»,–գրում է թերթը։
