ԱՄՆ նախագահ Բարաք Օբաման գտնում է, որ ամերիկյան ընկերությունները չպետք է արտադրեն այնպիսի hեռախոսներ ու շարժական սարքեր, որոնք չեն կարող խիստ անհրաժեշտության դեպքում հասանելի լինել իշխանությունների համար: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այդ մասին նա հայտարարել է մարտի 11-ին Տեխասում ունեցած ելույթում: Սպիտակ տան ղեկավարն ընդգծել է, որ մտադիր է մեկնաբանել ահաբեկչին պատկանո ղ iPhone-ի «կոտրման» առիթով Apple ընկերության և ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարարության միջև ծագած վեճը: «Հարց է ծագում. եթե տեխնիկական տեսանկյունից կարելի է ստեղծել այնպիսի սարքավորում, որին հնարավոր չէ հասանելիություն ապահովել, կամ ստեղծել գաղտնագրման այնպիսի համակարգ, որը լիովին պաշտպանված կլինի հնարավոր «կոտրումից», ապա ինչպե՞ս կարող ենք ձերբակալել մանկական պոռնոգրաֆիա տարածողին կամ բացահայտել ահաբեկիչների դավադրությունը»,- ընդգծել է Բարաք Օբաման:
Ավելին, այն իրավիճակը, երբ քաղաքացիներն ունեն նման սարքավորումներ, ԱՄՆ նախագահը համեմատել է այնպիսի իրավիճակի հետ, եթե «յուրաքանչյուրն իր գրպանում շվեյցարական բանկ պահեր»: Ըստ Բարաք Օբամայի՝ դա կբարդացներ հարկերից անօրինական խուսափման կամ ֆինանսական մեքենայությունների դեմ պայքարը:
Հեռախոսային շարժական սարքավորումներում անկոտրելի պաշտպանական համակարգերի օգտագործման թույլատրելիության մասին վեճերն ու քննարկումները սրվել են այն բանից հետո, երբ ԱՄՆ-ում դատարանը պարտավորեցրեց Apple ընկերությանը աջակցել Հետաքննությունների դաշնային բյուրոյին՝ ահաբեկիչ Սայիդ Ֆարուքին պատկանող iPhone սմարթֆոնը «կոտրելու» համար. վերջինս մասնակցել Է Սան Բեռնարդինոյում (Կալիֆորնիա նահանգ) հաշմանդամների օգնության կենտրոնի վրա կատարված հարձակմանը և ոչնչացվել: 2015 թ. դեկտեմբերի 2-ին այդ գրոհի հետևանքով 14 մարդ Էր զոհվել, 21-ը՝ վիրավորվեÕ ¬:
Սակայն Apple ընկերության ղեկավար Թիմ Կուկը հայտարարել Էր, որ կվիճարկի ՀԴԲ-ի պահանջը, քանի որ իշխանություններին արդեն իսկ տվյալներ տրամադրվել էին Ֆարուքին պատկանող սարքավորումից, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
