Սիրիական ընդդիմության հիմնական խմբավորումը հայտարարել է անցումային շրջանի քննարկման անհնարինության մասին, եթե Սիրիայի ներկայիս նախագահ Բաշար Ասադը մնա իշխանության, հաղորդում է BBC-ի ռուսական ծառայությունը:
«Մենք կարծում ենք, որ Սիրիայում անցումային շրջանը կսկսվի Ասադի ռեժիմի անկումից կամ նրա մահվանից հետո»,- ասել է ընդդիմությունից գլխավոր բանակցող Մոհամադ Ալուշը:
Ալուշը ծիծաղելի է կարծում Սիրիայի արտգործնախարար Վալիդ Մուալեմի դիրքորոշումը, ով նախօրեին հայտարարել է, որ երկրում խորհրդարանական և նախագահական ընտրությունները չեն քննարկվի Ժնևում երկուշաբթի օրը տեղի ունենալիք բանակցություններին:
«Ո՛չ նա (ՄԱԿ-ի հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Ստաֆան դե Միստուրան), ո՛չ որևէ այլ մեկն իրավունք չունի խոսել նախագահական ընտրությունների մասին: Դա միայն սիրիացի ժողովրդի իրավունքն է»,- հայտարարել է Մուալեմը Դամասկոսում մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ:
Մարտի 14-ին Ժնևում պետք է կայանա Սիրիայի հարցերով խաղաղ բանակցությունների հերթական հանդիպումը, որին, ինչպես սպասվում է, առաջին անգամ կմասնակցի սիրիական ընդդիմությունը:
